[Merged] N/S- Henry Ruggs car accident in Vegas (update from old thread) (3 Viewers)

when my wife was in middle school, her grandmother was taking her to school. they were sitting at a light, it was green, but the car in front of them was waiting to make a left hand turn so they were stopped. a drunk driver hit them at 50 mph. never slowed down, pushed them into the car in front of them. the dashboard collapsed on her legs. they had to use the jaws of life to cut her out. she broke her femur. had to be in traction, then a wheel chair. 6:30am in the morning this dude was drunk. my wife, sisters and their grandmother were extremely lucky they weren't all killed.
to this day, my wife will throw a fit if I drink more than 1 beer if I'm gonna drive. and has me trained like second nature to put on my seatbelt.
Sad that someone could be drunk at 6am in the morning and driving.

You totally missed the point.

Drinking is dangerous. You don't even need to drive.

We are only a couple months since Madison Brooks.

I didn't miss it. But most people who drink and drive don't do so at 150mph. On a regular street. Most wouldn't even try that on the interstate. I've never ever seen anyone drive that fast outside of a race track. If he was at a reasonable speed that girl and her dog probably wouldn't have burned to death in that car.

Well, just happened the other day with a drunk driver doing 65 in a 25 and killing 2 people. So, more common than you might think

That's bad but it's not what I said. I asked how many people drive 150 down a regular street.
