'Breaking Bad' Movie Is a Sequel Starring Aaron Paul and Will Air on AMC and Netflix

Netflix will have it first in a move that flips the script on how the original series was released on AMC and then sold to the streaming giant.
Additional details about the Breaking Bad movie are coming to light.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the feature-length movie will be a sequel revolving around Aaron Paul, who will reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman. Sources also confirm that Netflix will have first-run rights to the top-secret project, which will then air on AMC. (Representatives for AMC, Netflix and producers Sony Pictures TV all declined to comment.)
As THR previously reported, the Breaking Bad movie will be written by original series creator Vince Gilligan, who will executive produce the project alongside franchise collaborators Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein. Gilligan, sources say, will direct the film, which will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

The possibilities are endless?

I'm struggling to see what this could possible be about other that a 'requel' (a supposed 'sequel that is really just a remake) with the kids of the original goonies fining another treasure map and the parents maybe tagging along

==============================
FILM classic The Goonies is getting a sequel after 40 years — with its original stars set to return.

Production could begin next summer, with the film in cinemas in 2026 or 2027.

A source said: “The Goonies reboot has been talked about for a long time but it’s finally been given the green light to go ahead.

“The plan is to start developing the ideas for the follow up next summer, with a possible release date of 2026 or 2027.

“The original is so culturally significant, Warner Bros’ know they have to get it totally right.

“It’s likely major stars will come back but the possibilities of where to take the sequel are endless.

“The team who are going to be starting work on the project are so excited.

“It is early days but the youth adventure market is on fire, so they want to capitalise on this.

“The Goonies is 39 years old now and the idea that they can bring the magic of the film to a whole new audience has the team very excited.”……..

So anyone here see Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice yet? And if so, does it make up for the Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiin we never got? 😆

We're actually getting the sequel I've wanted for so long - Glass. Unbreakable is by far my favorite M. Night movie and one of my favorite superhero movies. I really wanted to see David Dunn starting to embrace his powers.
What did you think of Glass?
