i only read the original question so far, but i want to say mine was the jason bourne series. one was great, when i heard they made a 2 i couldn' t wait to see it; but i was highly disappointed. haven't seen 3 yet.

Aww man. You're missing out then. I think the third movie was better than the first two put together. Actually, IMO, Bourne Ultimatum has been the best movie I've seen all year; with Transformers a close second.

it's still playing down the street today; if it's playing this weekend i might take a look. I enjoyed transformers alot, megan fox wasn't bad either. If i see it; i'll give the thumbs up or down.

There are plenty of bad sequels out there. This is relatively common knowledge, so I don't go into sequels with high expectations. But when...

Austin Powers II, Spy Who Shagged me came out, I was very disappointed. I thought they strayed too far from the original brand of humor that made the first one great. I know many will disagree and loved the movie so I won't say it was horrible, but I was disappointed.

Oh, sir...that is blasphemy. If you don't love Rocky IV then you're taking America's Cold War victory for granted. You probably think Ronald Reagan was responsible. Ha! Rocky Balboa's victory over Ivan Drago and unforgettable post-match speech were the catalysts that brought the USSR down.

agreed. first movie was okay. dumb fun. the second was to date the only movie ive ever considered walking out on. didn't i stayed till the bitter end and i regret it to this day

But if you left you would have missed that amazing dragon on dragon fight at the end, weren't those special effects the best you've ever seen. Reign of Fire what?!!?!!

cobra had plans to take out joe's main base which was under the bed.....you tell me what's more important

Oh man, that sounds horrible. I read about a few sequels and remakes that made me cringe, check these out: Tron 2, Friday the 13th remake, Evil Dead remake, Escape from New York remake. Now, I don't mind remakes most of the time but no one should try to remake Evil Dead, not even Sam Raimi himself. I sure if he did it would be 2 and half hours long and Ash would just cry the whole movie about losing his girlfriend. I HATE SPIDERMAN 3!!!!

Robocop 2. Robocop3 was so bad that I have an ongoing joke with a friend of mine that the movie really doesn't exist...because whatever that hunk of crap was, it wasn't a Robocop movie. Flying Samurai robot....what will they think of next?

As far as I'm concerned, there weren't any sequels to The Matrix. There were these two extra movies kinda set in the same universe committing blatant plagiarism, but they weren't sequels. Because the first was just so good, there's no way it could've spawned those other two steaming turds.
