My First-Ever Saints Seven-RD Mock for 2025 is Out: Tyler Warren at No.9 (4 Viewers)

Not every stud TE will run a 4.40 40 yard dash. Travis Kelce ran a 4.61 just for reference. The main goal for a TE, is to be able to feel and diagnose, the cushions in a defense. If he can do that, he can be slow plotting, and still manage to get open. Plus, have you seen the versatility of Warren? Imagine an offense with him and TH7 when he returns. Literally you can hand defenses a few swords, for them to pick which one they want to fall on.

Yeah we're starting to see a shift in the league again. Linebackers have gotten smaller and defenses are playing in nickel more often than not. TE's are like cheat codes against them. They also happen to be a young QB's best friend. If you can get an elite one that doesn't drop the ball and can make contested catches then you're way ahead of the game.

With an elite QB a platoon of RB's made sense. Early down ones were useful because of the play action pass opened up the deep plays and then a receiving one was also useful for obvious reasons. Without an elite QB then you kind of screw yourself because teams aren't worried about the deep pass as much so the early down RB ends up just getting stuffed and before you know it you're in 3rd and long with a young QB.

Without an elite QB the two of the most important positions on offense become an every down RB and a TE.
This an excellent post :100:

Jason Witten was like the slowest TE ever and somehow "Torched" Defenses.

This would be an incredible draft. I really like Cam Skattebo in the 3rd or 4th. Reminds me of Alstott. Not a burner, but just doesn't go down at the first point of contact. Started to take over the UT playoff

Exactly why I would love to see us get Tyler Warren at 1.9 and double dip and take Luke Lachey later. That double tight end set, whether we draft a QB this year, next or roll permanently with Rattler, would be setting up that QB for profound success.

Nah, Warren and Taylor. Those boys would be nasty and filthy together……not in a Diddy way.
