My First-Ever Saints Seven-RD Mock for 2025 is Out: Tyler Warren at No.9 (2 Viewers)

Your assumption is that you can trade down and still get Warren. What Bowers did last year, will have GMs looking for the next “Bowers”. Warren is the best TE in the draft. He may not be there if a trade down occurs
I totally understand but we gotta find a way to get an extra 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rounder in this draft. We have so many holes and no money for Free Agents.

90% of the mocks I have seen and almost all of the 100 simulators I've done have Warren going 14-25. It's a pretty safe bet he'll be there around 13-16

Good work.

Nice find on the William and Mary OL. Looks like our kind of pick.

Love the tight end pick. I have spent a lot of time focusing on Moore’s usage of Barkley being a potential catalyst of him wanting Jeanty, but Goedert has been a very key chess piece for his offense as well.
I think that looking more @ what Moore did in Philly may be short-sighted. Maybe look at what he did in Dallas. He did have the #1 offense in 21 with Dak, Elliot, Lamb, Gallup and Pollard. I think we have comparable pieces already here

New read by me.

In the mock's next two rounds, we add two more players from the Big 10. Enjoy!!
(It's a bit pipedream-ish) No trades included.

I like Warren but not @ 9 , it's a big reach. If T-Mac, Graham and Carter are gone then I'm all for trading 5-7 spots and taking a 2nd or even a high 3rd and taking Warren @ 14. I like Grant but doubt he'll be there @ 40

14 to the Colts is his floor.

They desperately need TE help.

If you want to move back but still get him don't move past 13.

I’m not buying these mock drafts this year. Pretty much all of them have Jeanty going to Dallas, just bc we all know Dallas needs a RB. They are not even factoring in if other teams ahead of them, may need a RB. I’m still in the camp, that what Bowers and Saquon did, will change how teams draft.

I hear you and usually I’m the guy who pounds the desk for more picks, but in our current state (new HC), you take the talent now, fill the roster with lesser talent in FA, punt the season, and go HAAM next draft and FA. I will also admit, that I have little faith that ML could win a trade, so there’s that as well

I keep on seeing Tetairoa McMillan falling to 9. If that happens, would you still rather Warren ?
I will. We have 3 speedsters in Olave, Shaheed and Valdez-Scallding. We need someone who can command the middle of the field. Not saying McMillan is not good, but there are better chances to find a good big receiver in later rounds than a commanding TE like Warren.

Warren will be the quaterback best friend in third downs.

Yeah we're starting to see a shift in the league again. Linebackers have gotten smaller and defenses are playing in nickel more often than not. TE's are like cheat codes against them. They also happen to be a young QB's best friend. If you can get an elite one that doesn't drop the ball and can make contested catches then you're way ahead of the game.

With an elite QB a platoon of RB's made sense. Early down ones were useful because of the play action pass opened up the deep plays and then a receiving one was also useful for obvious reasons. Without an elite QB then you kind of screw yourself because teams aren't worried about the deep pass as much so the early down RB ends up just getting stuffed and before you know it you're in 3rd and long with a young QB.

Without an elite QB the two of the most important positions on offense become an every down RB and a TE.

I would not draft Tyler Warren with the 9th pick in the draft!
Trade back & draft him later in the 1st round...Sure!
He isn't Brock Bowers...
There is a huge difference in football between someone who runs a 4.48 Forty time & someone who runs a 4.68 time...

I'd take Warren, and I don't expect him to be Bowers, I just want a reliable play-making TE that everyone else seems to have

Combined for 105 Receptions, 1148 YDS. & 14 TDs...

If we don't lose JJ to free agency we really don't need a TE in the draft!
We absolutely need a X-WR, OG, a big big run stuffing DT with long arms & quick feet, LB, S...

I was extremely curious whether or not Brock Bowers would’ve been the pick had LV not taken him 1 pick ahead last year. I don’t think Warren is quite the prospect Bowers was, but Bowers NEVER should’ve slipped to 13th.

Warren would be a solid pick.

If McMillan, Carter, & Graham are all gone before the 9th pick, you are absolutely correct! We should be looking to trade back for extra picks.
