As crazy as it sounds if they feel that Matt Lienart sp doesn't have what it takes to take them into the playoffs them a call to Farve wouldn't be crazy . Its just a call they don't have to make a move . You know Farve would atleast take the call , if he is healthy and wants one more shot at a ring (they are in good position for the number one seed in th AFC ) he Farve of all people would jump at this . He only has 6 games in the season its a good team with a shot to do good things .

Horrible news for the Texans and their fans. This could have been a special year for them. I feel for their fans. Here's to next year for them.

I agree. He's better than almost every available option for them. I'd make that move.

This is such a bummer. I was out in the field all day today and did not have my cell phone. I get back and have messages that Schaub is out for the season. This sucks, you would think I would be used to it after all the years with the Oilers. We still have a great offensive line, great running backs and tight ends and AJ is coming back. I sure hope Leinart has been paying attention and is ready to get his career back on track. I am afraid he cant throw the long ball though and defenses will be able to stack the box more. I hope I am wrong, but I m not sure he can get the job done. We shall see how this turns out, Im not totally getting down yet. We do have the weapons and we still have a stout defense. On the other hand, its nice that the Saints have a good backup in Daniels.

They are throwing Schaub under the bus on ESPN radio in Houston.

Saying he wasn't doing much anyway and that Leinart can do most of what he did.

Funny that. Just yesterday (post-game), they were talking about "barring injury" they didn't see any way the team could collapse. Then someone suggested they could lose any one player EXCEPT the QB and still not worry. Interesting that there is backpedaling on that now that it has become the reality.

Texan fans are about to learn the aggravation of Cardinal fans the last few years. Leinart is awful.

UGH!!! absolutely miserable luck for a team that I'm convinced was the best in the AFC. and a player primed for a breakout year. just awful.

Well the season is far from over for the Texans but looking out on the horizon what do we see... The Texans nemisis Payton Manning and the Colts reloading with likely the hottest QB prospect since, well Payton Manning... :covri: You gotta just think that the Texans window just cracked open for a brief moment only to slam shut right as they put their hands in there to climb out of the celler.

Yeah, if Leinart hasn't matured as a player, the Texans won't win more than 1 or 2 games the rest of the way. Which means all is right with the world cause the only sure things in this life are death, taxes, and the Texans having 6-9 wins.

I find it funny how many of our fans' first thought was their game against Atlanta. :hihi:

The Texans' entire offense revolves around handing the ball off to Foster or Tate and then going to a play action rollout to the right. With Leinart being a lefty, they'll have to change a big part of their offense. While just flipping the play to accomodate a lefty sounds simple, I'm not sure it's going to be that easy. The line will have to shift their blocks, the receivers will be running routes from the opposite side of the field, and not to mention they'll be dealing with a somewhat unfamiliar QB throwing them the ball. The timing will be off. They need a right handed QB!

I grew up and still live in the Houston area, so I'm kind of partial to them. I like to see them win when they're not playing the Saints, and I was looking forward to a NOLA/Hou Superbowl, but with Leinart, that's not going to happen. What I'd like to see them do is pick up someone like David Garrard... He's still out there surprisingly. While he's no superstar, he gives them a better chance to win. I'd like to see Houston bring him in, and have him practice with the team, learn the playbook, etc. for a few weeks, keeping Leinart in the starting role until Kubiak feels Garrard is ready to take over. Houston is almost a lock to win that division. They can afford to lose a few games, so I don't see a problem with bringing in somebody new, like Garrard, and giving them a few weeks to digest the system and replacing Leinart for the last couple of games and the playoffs. With the #1 defense and running game in the league, who knows how far they could go in the playoffs with a decent QB.....which Leinart is not.

Maybe Reliant Stadium was also built on top of an ancient burial ground.
