I like baseball, and I love the Astros, but yeah, I think baseball season is way too long. MLB would do itself a big favor by dropping about 30 games, playing more doubleheaders, and cranking up that World Series about August.

I'm a big 'Stros fan also. But once they were out of it I couldn't watch another game. Its not like the Saints where I can enjoy the games even with us being 3-13. Once Garner was fired I don't think I turned to FSN Houston the rest of the year.

is it possible for new england to have a baseball, nfl, soccer, college football and nba championship all in the same year?

red sox won the world series
their MLS team is currently in the semi finals
we all know about the patriots
boston college is #2 in the BCS
celtics have the prime 3 in garnett, peirce, and allen

is this fair?..

The Celtics are not going to come anywhere close to winning the NBA title.

Yea, I get to hear even more about it because the Washington Nationals just opened a new stadium. *sigh*

It's baaaaaack...So is it time to start a baseball has started will it ever end thread, lol...I'd like baseball more if New Orleans had a MLB team....I just watch on rare occasions.

baseball should only be like 50 games a season....

I'm freakin ready. I'm not into basketball so baseball really helps pass the time until football season entertainment wise.

The Hornets are throwing me off. Usually by this time of year, the Hornets are pretty much out of it whether by injuries or whatever. Now with them owning the West, I gotta keep up with the Hornets, the draft, and baseball. Tivo is a godsend.

Baseball makes Golf seem like an exciting new Rollercoaster ride, GOD it's slow, Boring and repetitive, i went to a few games and i can always remember it being soo damn quiet you can hear a fly fart on the other side of the stadium.

Ditto. I like baseball. At first I thought it was boring, but it grew on me. I think baseball is a game where you have to respect the stuff the players do to enjoy the game. I think if you know a lot about the game...like all the different types of pitches and when a pinch might happen, or a bunt, or when a closer blows a save, or when good/bad base running happens. It can be a fun game to watch when you know what's going on. But it's extremely boring if you want a lot of action and movement. If you look at it that way, it's almost like watchin two guys play pitch and catch.

I love basketball too, though. But, football is without a doubt, my #1 sport. I pretty much like all sports except soccer and hockey.

I'd rather watch the Weather Channel than baseball, I'd even watch Head-On commercials, that's whacked.

Care to revise this statement?

Your Spurs are starting to make their usual strong push at the end of the season.

Ditto squared. You really need to patience and time to put into learning the game. It also helps to pick a team. You can find anyone on the 'net now.. college, minors, MLB, all of it! (for a price of course) It's the greatest thing for non-football season!
