Is there even a good reason to tune into GMFB? Burelson is on there and everyone knows his stance. That show is worthless it's a joke. Yeah Kay Adams supports us but really that like a sliver of gold in a pile of crap. I guess for anyone that likes torture and needs to find a way to keep getting upset I guess it is worth it. I wear Saints gear or at least a hat every time I go out and this week I am not because I don't want to hear how we have been robbed. It's common sense don't subject yourself so if anyone is going to watch it then they have only their self to blame knowing there is a good chance there is something that is going to piss them off.
Early CTE?Against my better judgement I tuned in to the GMF show this morning and my anger and contempt for the National Fixed League was renewed with a vengance!!
Even with his blind Rams homerism aside how can a man that played the game continue to be so dumb and insist that the blown call didn't cost the Saints the game?
Everyone and their country brother knows that if the call is made then the Saints have a fresh set of downs and would have forced the Rams to use their final timeout and more importantly would have eaten up most of the time left on the clock and overtime never happens!!
Even if the PI is ruled to be a bang bang play why isn't the helmet to helmet called??
I don't use facebook or twitter but he does and I'm sure a lot of you guys do.
Well old Nate needs to be blown up and told how blind he really is to the fact that this one NON CALL did indeed cost the Saints the game because when it happened you could see that the team was totally deflated and shocked by the events that took place!!
They even interpreted Mrs. Benson's comment as an accusation because she used the words "fairness and integrity" and yet the league has still not come forth with any form of excuse or comment!!
At some point this will go away for some of us but for me it just hasn't reached that point yet!!
Good Morning Football is NFL Network's attempt to use millenial, non-traditional football hosts to broaden their audience. Like other networks, they use plenty of ex NFL stars on many of their programs........but this one is just different, even with having ex NFLer Nate Burleson on there. The way the GMFB hosts dress and communicate ........with their coffee in front of them and their Surface Pros .......is basically like something you'd see in your local coffee shop. They're not really an X's and O's kinda show..........because that appeals to someone who is already a major fan of the game...........but just a whole lot of basic, young-adult style conversation about the game (like, you could just FEEL around that 3rd quarter that, like....there was starting to be this shift, like....)
Kay Adams is there in a "hey, it's cool for you ladies to like and discuss football TOO" attractive female role. Obviously there are other sports shows that are going for that as well.....but more often than not those females are just sitting there blinking and looking pretty while the ex athletes or talking heads rattle on.....whereas Kay seems more actively ingrained in the show.
Nate Burleson was probably a dream come true for them.........because he dresses, talks and acts like a skinny-jeans millenial.........but also spent a decade in the NFL. He's the component that keeps a more typical NFL fan from just saying "ok, why should I really care what any of these latte-sippers think?" because he can at least speak from on-field NFL experience.
Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt (who I didnt know until recently actually played college football for Princeton) also fit what they're looking for.........guys who don't pretend to be experts of the game, but they are well-spoken and have been around the game in other capacities long enough to at least offer some basic levels of insight.

I have watched it in the past b/c I like Kay, me being a female football fan also, but she really wasn't cutting us much slack today, she agrees with every one else, we need to "let it go." Then I thought, heck they work for the NFL, they are all just like y'all said - talking heads for the NFL. I hope we never "let it go."
I don't think anyone really can say "let it go" until the NFL (Goodell) comes out and faces the music first. A giant majority of Saints fans do not expect the game to be replayed (there is a vocal minority), but we know that isn't going to happen. It would be cathartic if we just heard, "Sorry. That call should have been made. You have every right to be upset. We will strive to make sure that what happened to you does not happen to another team." If Goodell came out and said that, you would see most of the Saints fans drop it. Some would still scream, but most would move on at that point. It is Goodell hiding like a coward and pretending that this didn't happen that is keeping the fire stoked.
So don't tell us to "move on" or "let it go" until the wrong is acknowledged by Goodell. Be a man for God's sake.
