It really seems like they don't want to start on Labor Day weekend since everytime they add a week they just push the superbowl back a week. I would expect the NFL season will eventually end in March.

I like your 2 bye week idea, but ALL teams should have to have their first bye during week 6, 7 or 8 and the second bye during week 13, 14, or 15. This will at least limit the competitive advantage from differing schedules some.
They need to make the byes as standardized as possible, otherwise watch as the Saints always seem to have week 4 and week 7 byes while the Cowboys enjoy byes near week 7 and 14 of the 20 week season. Make it illegal to have 2 byes in the first half of the season at least...but I won't hold my breath.

This would be the path, and the owners are going to make the players’ association fight like heck to get it.

Are there 18 different $treaming $ervices? That would $eem to be the next $tep.

It’s only the first season with the 17 games. I wonder if a higher percentage of injuries occurred. We’ll need a bigger sample size, of course.
 
Two preseason games. I would even go to three bye weeks. Start the season the first Sunday in September. Extend the regular season into January. The NFL would like nothing better than to dominate television for five and a half months. And more international games.
 
**** it, why have an offseason? Lets just move to 52-game seasons and 150-man rosters. :idunno:🙄

The league is already watered down as it is and the owners' greed only continues to douse it more each year. It's the same issue the UFC is currently experiencing; too many fight cards and not enough quality fights.

Sure, the organization is making a boatload more money with fights every single weekend but it's to the point that I can't even bother tuning in anymore. And this is coming from someone that every month without fail, my friends and I would get together and order the PPV card at someone's house or we'd go out to BWW or something and catch it. Never thought I'd get to a point where I couldn't care less about missing a fight card, even with fighters I really like fighting on that card but here we are.

The NFL is working its way down the same path, the oversaturation combined with a horrible product on the field will turn a lot of fans off.
