NFL Playbook came out tonight.

Baldy, Sterling and Millen all pick the Saints.

As usual Theisman picks the Giants. I remember he also picked the Colts against the Saints ??? HAHA we all know how that turned out.

What's Theisman's problem? What does he have against the Saints?

If he hates any team he should hate the Giants. That's who broke his leg in 2 pieces on MNF back in the day.

Well, there are three schools of thought as to "what his problem is"

1) Stockholm Syndrome. The giants ended his career, therefore they must be the biggest, baddest dudes on the block.

2) Theisman saw how we abused poor Brent, and Kurt a couple years ago, and it reminds him of the abuse that LT dished out to him.

3) he's an idiot.

I agree with all three, especially number 3!

or it just could be that the producer wants him to pick the Giants.

4) too many helmet to helmet hits, helmet to the ground hits, mother dropped him head first on the floor too many times...

He drew the short straw.

This.

I'm sure most people noticed that shows like NFL Network, ESPN, HBO, CBS/Fox pre game shows, etc. always want a contrarion to argue the devils advocate point of view. I see it all the time. I'd say atleast 70% of the time the person argueing their side doesn't even feel strongly in that way but they do it spice up the show. It has to be completly obvious for both people to agree and it dumbs down the shows. I've gotten so used to seeing it that I don't even watch the shows and stick to just watching the games. I've found I learn almost nothing listening to the talking heads and they never persuade my opinion so I don't even bother caring what they think. If they were to bet their careers as anylists it would be worth watching and they would do a more thorough job but most of them just mail it in and give you the most obvious observations I could get from some casual fan at a bar.

Didn't see the show so I don't know if he defended his pick with boneheaded reasons. But still, I don't think picking the Giants can be interpreted as Theisman having a vendetta against us. Picking the Colts was just a misguided way to be edgy and set himself apart from the other guys. Dumb choice nonetheless. The Giants on the other hand, are actually a formidable opponent. No shame in picking them to win this game.

You have to remember he's no Norman Einstein.

I wish the Giants would have broken his mouth instead of his leg.

I don't know what Theismann's problem is, but I feel a whole lot better about Monday night now that he has picked the Giants.

While in college, Joe Theismann changed the pronunciation of his name from "thees-man" to "thighs-man" because "thighs-man" rhymes with Heisman. Says all I need to know about his ego.
