Nick Underhill: Saints Might Not Move on from DA (3 Viewers)

We were the most pessimistic fan base coming into this garbage season lol.. hmm Wonder why that was

It's actually sort of interesting that Dallas is right down there at the bottom too as we have sort of a similar-ish GM situation in Loomis here.
For sure. I thought just the other day that we are now the Cowboys.
Leadership making terrible moves and doubling down on them
Because they don’t like criticism. Accountable to no one.
Totally hopeless.

LOL , So what?? It makes no difference who we beat, a win is a win and we play 2 of those same QB's again. You might also want to check the scores of those 4 out of 5 wins, we blew those teams out. Isn't that what a good team does?? Blow out a weaker opponent? And 1 of them was the division winner.
Shanny also has had the luxury of not missing his starting QB for 4 games , he also had most of his starting OL
You are also forgetting what we did in the 1st 2 games when we were healthy , but why let facts get in the way of a distorted narrative

No room for context, above is an absolute brain dead take.....one of the weakest schedules in NFL history, in the worst division in the NFL, played numerous backup QB's and still couldn't beat a quality team to get to the playoffs.....

Don't look now, but some of us took that as a hint that maybe DA was an abject failure as a HC, this season has cemented that.....

All one has to do is look at his record in close games and/or against quality opponents.....it's strikingly abysmal, if you don't realize that then you are delusional.....

I pray that they dont use the ”injuries” as a reason to keep DA for another year, but i think they might. I was a DA supporter year 1, but its crystal clear that his best role is as a coordinator only. I think DA’s major malfunction is his eye for details & the ability to hold people accountable. I also question his ability to build a team & identify talent at certain positions. Instead if being a true Godfather to his mob, DA’s like a stepdad to kids that smile in his face, then spit in his food when he’s not looking.

I mean, a players only meeting? Then you have the comments from last season implying that the players played for each other, rather than the coaches. It’s like having a family member that everyone loves, but everyone talks about how utterly crap they are behind their back. I know how beloved DA is in that building, but unlike actual family, you can fire him for not being on the level.

I think it’s time for a change, but i wouldnt be surprised even a lick if DA was our coach in 2025. Another year & a half of DA at the helm kills me inside, but i think he’d be playing on his last life. At that point we’d certainly be looking at yet another lost season filled w/disappointment. Only positive about that would be in 26, we’ll have a chance at Arch Manning, Nico Imaleava, or Dylan Raiola. If we do retain DA, it’s something to look forward to.

I was on the fence about DA - feeling like he had shown that we can be really good when healthy but I’m off the fence, he’s got to go.

Today he chose letting a shaky defense defend the field instead of going for 4th and inches with Taysom who has been unstoppable today. Then just terrible clock management in the end.

Fire DA….this is embarrassing and lack of action from Mickey is a slap in the face to this city and its fan base. This city and region has been absolutely the epitome of loyal to this team and organization and we deserve better!
