Odds of Rizzi Getting Permanent Job and, If So, What Type of Contract (9 Viewers)

I just don't see where Loomis is this huge problem. He's had the opportunity to hire 2 coaches. 1 was elite, one was terrible. That's a .500 average why does he absolutely need to go?
I agree, and the 2nd was on a recommendation from the 1st.

To the mods, I mean with the greatest of respect. This forum is full of too many reactive clowns who do not understand football, nor do they understood how the NFL works as a business.

Darren Rizzi absolutely should not be the next permanent HC of the Saints. Screaming and shouting more than your predecessor does not mean you’re the guy. Simple (ironic) as that. I could go on, but I don’t won’t,

1. 50/50 - never know what direction the organization is going. DA probably deserved a shot. Rizz brings energy and fire but doesn't have the long ties to the organization that is so coveted here.

2. If they decided to give him the opportunity, it shouldn't be more than 3 years (the standard is generally 4-5 years) with significant buyouts. 3 years 12 M with low buyouts. year 1 - 3 M, year 2 - 4 M, year 3 - 5M with team friendly buyouts every year. It's effectively a prove it deal from the first year.

3 - Yes. I think he jumps at the chance to be a HC.
I'll revise my projection to question 1 and 2.
1. 0%
2. N/A
3. See #2

Really the 1 thing Rizzi brought to the table was the players played hard for him in the 1st couple 3 games. That was not even close to the case tonight. They played without passion and heart. He could not even manage the clock right, how did he not know the clock had started before the half on that fumble out of bounds. If he ever wants to be considered for a HC position he needs to start at a mid level major college program 1st and work his way up

zero. This team still makes far too many damn mistakes all over the place. Sloppy coaching leads to sloppy players. I think it’s long odds the Saints rebuild into a quality team unfortunately. Sean Peyton was a rare lucky strike for the team and we hit gold. That won’t happen again any time soon. Dennis Allen wasn’t it and we all knew it from the beginning. I hate to be the pessimist but that’s how I feel.
