All of these guys can get after the passer and some are better vs the run, but just as valuable.


All of them cannot be drafted before we get to them. And the Saints are just as likely to trade up for one of them they really like.


Y'all need to calm down.

I hope we don't trade up...we need all our picks. Mainly because we're not known for hitting on alot of them.

But on the rest I hope you're right. But I won't calm down until we get one of the guys you listed and we actually get the right one. But as you said, the numbers are on our side. Thank God for small favors....

Exactly. Just because you can play LT doesn't mean you can play RT. All tackles should stop being lumped together when they are grading players. And we are hoping that a move to the right helps his hip? That's encouraging.

If pass rush is truly the priority and the saints think that priority will be fulfilled day two, they are nuts.

As far as the day one picks, solid imo. I would have liked us to be aggressive with foster or watt and not just park at 32 like we did.

I'm beginning to think pass rush is not priority at all.

I am certainly surprised but I think it was a smart move. We all know Strief is old and the Saints FO probably have a bunch of pass rushers with similar grades going into the second round. Someone good will fall at 42. Now, if they don't address the pass rush tomorrow, then i'll be upset.

Would love to snag Demarcus Walker at 42 for pass rush. I wouldn't have minded him at 32, but with us being able to probably get him with our 2, I would have been disappointment. I personally think he is Jr with run D skills. Very ferocious pass rusher.

Other than the recent hip surgery, the fact that he is a left tackle that will be asked to play right tackle and that he quit football, this was a very safe pick for the Saints.

People need to let go of the impression they had of Peat during his rookie season. He's a pretty damn good LG, and he's filled in well when needed for Armstead (which has been more than any of us would like).

But that's neither here nor there right now. Ramczyk provides depth and competition this year, and next year he's one of the best linemen in this draft already on our roster to replace Strief, so we're ahead of the game there. Tomorrow will be the meat and potatoes of our draft. I wouldn't be shocked to see us address all 3 levels of our defense in rounds 2 and 3. There are a ton of players still on the board that are all of a similar caliber that will be there for us.
