Don't hate the pick...got good value at a position of need.

HOWEVER...STILL NEED A PASS RUSHER!

Had two 1st roiund picks and didn't get one. Can't fault the Lattimore pick but how much would it have costed for us to move up 2-3 spots and get TJ Watt?

Armstead generally misses several games a season and Strief is old. Adding talent on the O-line is never a bad thing. This tells me that the team thinks whatever pass rusher the Saints like will probably still be there at 42.

As long as pick 42 is DE, I'm okay with OT being 32. Dude looks huge and Strief isn't getting younger. I know he's not the sexy pick that we wanted, but if he's good enough to come in and start right away, I'll be happy.

Yuck. Needed a DE; good one there; we pick an OT in a weak OL draft.

That's why we probably went RT there. Weak Class of OL and we got what many think is arguably the best OT in the draft.

Saints went BPA due to the DEs being left probably still being there at 42 while OL night have had a run early tomorrow.

Just look what Dallas does with a great line can you imagine Brees AP Ingram with a great line ! We picked up good defense players in free agency guys the draft isn't over

The ones left can be gotten at 42. We really needed to plug in RT. We still have a offense to upkeep and we need to maintain a top offense despite what people may believe. We have Brees, Ingram and AD that need a wall in front of them. He's rated as a top 25 player. It's a good pick.

If it was such a good pick why was everybody in the universe surprised when the pick came in? And why are some saying that the defensive players will be there at 42? That's 10 picks later, so I doubt they will all be there. I really didn't think I was the only one here sick and tired of watching a putrid defense take the field year in and year out. I"m sure the tackle we took is a great player where we got him, but he'll be standing on the sidelines watching while Drew Brees will be another year older and closer to retirement.

Sorry guys....just venting...I should have figured it was too much to hope we'd focus our first few picks on building a defense...maybe tomorrow the plan will come together and I'll be over this.

I guess he has a hip issue though... but a doc thinks a move to the right might help it... we'll see.

Nothing to hate about this pick. You don't REACH for a pass rusher when you have another player that's graded higher still available (at a position of need).

We have another pick coming up, and there may still be players on their board that are graded higher than the next best pass rusher, so I wouldn't be surprised if we skip on another pass rusher.

That's the point. Tackle is so weak in this draft that if you don't get the value one now, you're likely not to get one at all.
