One thing folks have to remember: Any prospect we go for in the 2nd round would have to be better than veteran Okafor (...who we already picked up this offseason). The Saints have already announced that they plan to use him as a DE.

Okafor put us in a position that we didn't have to "reach" for anyone that didn't grade out as a 1st round prospect.

Unless Atlanta and Carolina are like Seattle, the Saints will not trade up in the second. So if the Saints move up in the third round, then it should only cost them a third rounder.

I think Panthers could take a pass rusher. Derek Rivers might be someone to keep an eye on, which is crazy.

Yeah, it is so ironic. I think it would be smart to get up with Derek Rivers and Jordan Willis out there as well as Basham and Williams. I think they might like Rivers because of the sack production though you cannot argue with any of these guys.

I think you keep the second third because you can use it to trade down and accumulate other picks.



Yeah, I thought Chiefs would have made the move to regain a high-round pick next year.

Nope, you won't convince it is a good idea to give away a second next year to trade up.

I am positive for both picks at the third. There are several players I really like.

We may even have the chance to make a "luxury" pick.
