**Official 2017 NFL Draft - Day 2 Thread - No Twitter Spoilers** (2 Viewers)

And the pick after ours, the Vikings traded back from the end of the 3rd for a 4th and a 7th. If a 4th and a 6th is asinine, what is a 4th and a 7th?

Asinine?

A 7th rounder is worth almost nothing and has a minuscule chance of making an impact. Noway would I of given up the dwindling talent at DE left at the end of the 3rd just to pick up an extra 7th.

I know you are the type that would trade a 2nd rounder for three 5ths though because you love quantity. No use arguing about it. We've had 6 picks in the first three rounds of this draft and will come out of the draft with seven players. Giving up talent to scrape out an extra 6th or 7th makes no sense. You aren't going to have 8 draft picks make the roster anyway.

Anyone reminded of Brian Young when they watch Trey Hendrickson?

I think we're in a position to take the best faller available in the 6th. Addressed needs today. Very good day strategically for NO. If not BPA, could be a good move to get a TE. Leggett and Butt are still out there but will definitely be gone by 6. Looking into guys like Antony Auclair.

Dang, that deep "edge rusher" class dried up quickly.

How so? There were 105 selections made. Of those, 13 were defensive ends and of those 13 defensive ends, 8 were taken in rounds 2 or 3. That's a pretty deep class.

I know you are the type that would trade a 2nd rounder for three 5ths though because you are obsessed with quantity. No use arguing about it. It's not giving up talent. It's moving back a handful of picks to take a stab at landing at best another Jahri Evans or Marques Colston. And with our depleted roster (mostly due to poor drafts and fewer than average picks), nothing would surprise me with the amount of rookies making this team, especially given the amount of rookies that have made it in years past and the turnover we've seen over the past couple of years. Furthermore, if a 6th round pick beats out a higher draft pick, you presumably added more talent than you otherwise would have.

Funny to me right after your snide comment there was a NFL front office that sided with my logic. Maybe it's time you consider alternate draft philosophies.

Too white for me.

Sorry..... bring on the red thumbs.

You get some red thumbs, you get a red thumb..

Red thumbs for everyone!

Not if I'm white..... listen (as coach would say)

I don't know about any of these guys after round 2 to be honest and haven't for years. But there have been so many times when we made a pick, and by the response on the forum, I thought we just drafted Jesus. Bryant Young, Davis Tull, I know there are others, but I'm drinking right now and don't feel like researching it...... Just saying..... maybe I'm the one calling out the racists here. ** delete thread mods**

Bryant Young is not a white guy....
