Iirc, they did initially rule it a scoop and score, but it was ruled incomplete on review. Fwiw, I thought it was incomplete when I saw the play live. It was a close call imo.

OSU fans on Twitter complaining about being robbed/cheated on the fumble recovery for a TD being reversed. I just posted a gif of the no call and told them welcome to the club. Wonder how many of them told us to stop whining when ours happened?

Iirc, they did initially rule it a scoop and score, but it was ruled incomplete on review. Fwiw, I thought it was incomplete when I saw the play live. It was a close call imo.

The officials did the right thing by letting everything play out without blowing a whistle. I was very surprised after the review that they reversed the call and rules the play as an incomplete pass. There was no bobbling of the football, and the receiver took two full steps.

But as always, there is no real definition of what makes for a completed catch.

I'm not sure who the commentator was, but when the others were cheering for the scoop and score, he was like "hold up, they are going to rule that an incomplete pass and here's why...". Then sure enough, it was exactly what he said.
