Ok, You are Dennis Allen (2 Viewers)

1. Get the best OC he can get.

2. Figure out what needs to be done to improve the OL.

3. Need another DT.

4. Get faster on defense.

There is no chance that they are hiring Gruden. DA would be looking over his shoulder all season and the second we lose one game it would take 30 secs for the "Fire DA and let Gruden be HC" murmurs. It would make the team worse if Gruden is brought in.

If I am DA I would focus on the trench's and bring in an OC that can use the pieces that we have on O for a ball control/west coast hybrid offense that grinds the clock with heavy running game and quick routes. Focus on the Pass Rush and Secondary. Let the D lead the way.
You called it. Gruden has campaigned for DAs job all year. I bet Gruden has been selling Loomis, that he can fix Carr.

It is like a wife being ok, with her husband hiring a young/hot nanny. That story writes it's self.

1. Hire Klint Kubiak as your offensive coordinator and let him bring whoever he wants to fill in the positional coaches
2. Going to be taken poorly, but trade Kamara and/or Lattimore for an early round pick in this year's draft
3. Retain Malcolm Roach and trade for Derrick Brown shoring up the run defense
4. Draft the top tackle in the first round, resign Peat, and work Penning like a dog to see if he's committed.
5. Throw the kitchen sink at Antoine Winfield Jr. at all cost

You sure you’re looking at this from the perspective of being DA in a make or break year? The second thing you think he would want to do is trade our best offensive player and best defensive player for rookies?

Morestead also had 48 of his punts returned. Only 29 of Hedleys were returned. While TM had a net average of almost 2 yards more, I think Rizzi prefers to force the opponent to attempt fair catching a knuckleball and is willing to give up the 2 yards net average instead of the huge punt return that comes from a traditional punt in which the punters outkicks the coverage and puts the big return possibility in play. just my 2 cents.

On the other hand Morestead was released by the Jets in the initial cutdown and then brought back. He has posted on social media his love for the Saints and still has a home in N.O. He's probably a free agent as well. So whether he's brought back to compete or not the Saints most likely will have at least one other punter in training camp to compete with Hedley.

Hedley was dead last in punting average and 27th in net punting average. If that’s what Rizzi wants we need a new special teams coach.

1. Hire Gruden as OC - Carr had his best years under Gruden and struggled his first year in new systems.

2. Fix the offensive line

3. Fix the defensive line

4. Bring in Kicker competition

5. Dump the Aussie and bring back Morestead
Th Green Bay fans agree with #4. I felt their pain. But, its how they beat us. Rookie Kicker choke

I wasn't thinking much about punting as far as needs, but you make a very compelling point. Perhaps Loomis can expand on why we needed to get rid of Morestead in his next pres conference.

Rizzi is pretty much so universally considered the best special teams coach in the league. And, while Headley's punt averages were bad, the Saints also had the lowest average yards given up per punt return in the NFL. While I do think that we should look for an upgrade who can hit longer punts when called for, the Ausie style punting seems to be working in preventing punt returns so keeping Headley wouldn't be the worst thing.

I think a lot of you just like to hear yourself talk. Don’t post a tread and tell people what not to post. You don’t want everyone’s honest opinions then keep writing your thoughts in your diary and leave us alone.

Did you just tell people what they should post in a post complaining about people telling other people what to post?

Wait, you don’t want someone to tell you what to do and then immediately tell people what to do. Stunning.

1 Play your starters in pre-season. They started last year looking like they'd never tried to tackle or block before.
2 Get a whole new OC and staff.
3 BPA of course but when choosing closely ranked players go linemen. (Or LB if there's a chance.)
4 Why not trade Latt for a player (s) instead of a draft choice?
5 Keep Kamara!
6 Find a place for Penning. The guy is a monster! How did they screw this up so bad?

What he should honestly do is beef up the OL and DL in the draft. We need to at least have the lines in order before we even worry about a qb. I'd also like us to look at LB as well. We absolutely need to go back to being dominate in the trenches

The no returns thing doesn’t matter when the punts are that short. He ranked 27th in net punting average.
