O'Keefe Media Group, the company that released the Redskins VP controversial audio, hints that it has tapes on the Saints set to be released

Those suspensions got overturned when Tagliabue was brought in as an independent arbiter. Tags found no evidence to support the notion that the players were doing anything intentionally harmful. I think only hargrove’s wasn’t and I think that was because he wasn’t currently on a team - though my memory might be shaky on that.

Payton couldn’t get his overturned because the NFL coaches don’t have a union to fight on their behalf and (I think) they are viewed as independent contractors.
If I remember correctly, there is a coaches' union, but at the time (of Bountygate), Payton & Belichick were the only coaches not in the union... mind you this was what I read, or what was reported at the time. This was the reason that Payton didn't fight the suspension, because he didn't have that option like Vilma did ❤.

A tell for me was when Payton coached a Super Bowl win...in which arguable the crucial factor was the defensive performance and game plan led by Gregg Williams....he went on to write his book, start hanging out with Kenny Chesney, took up with Miss W. Virginia and divorced his wife. Classic story not unlike Ed Orgeron. Reveals true character. Flawed character.
Nope. Both sides contributed to the SB win. On defense, Manning and Addai had their way with us all day. To GW's credit the defense did just enough to keep points off the board. Garcon dropped a ball on the numbers to kill a drive, missed field goals and of course the ill-fated interception by Porter when they were driving to tie the game.

On Payton's offensive side of the ball, he and Brees had that defense on their heels the last three quarters of the game. First drive killed by a Colston drop, the fourth down stop of Bell on the goal line. A forgotten hero of that game was Hartley.

I know you don't care for Payton, but to not give him his due for that Super Bowl win is disingenuous. You're better than that.

If this Commanders dude was just trying to make up some BS story to impress a female, he could dream up something way juicier than this.
Just wondering when we decided to use 'female' all of the time instead of woman or girl? That's been a new thing over the last couple of years. Anybody know when we made this switch?

Grrrlll, Brit doesn't get it.

Maybe they're serving pets that were abducted from people's yards for team provided meals?

Either way, the game was sealed by the defense and the turnovers were key all season even to get to the Super Bowl.

But the point was about how the success was handled by Payton, which was not well. And this gets to the core of why I lost respect for Payton. From this point on I lost patience with his pass pass pass and terrible defenses and arrogant lack of self reflection.

So, if i understand you currently, it was winning the Superbowl that made you stop liking Payton.

All this without even mentioning the huge momentum shift of the FG before halftime and then the onside kick (Ambush) that swung the game potentially 14 points....

CSP was far from perfect, like any other coach he had his faults but he understood one thing that the Jim Mora's of the world never understood.....In big games you have to take big chances.....

It's weird because there appears to be a small subset of Saints fans who don't like CSP but totally revere Jim Mora.....and that makes zero sense.....

I’ve heard it used pretty interchangeably most of my life, especially in the context of dating conquests, but in other ways as well.
