Oops, that's my number (Senator Vitter)[MULTI-MERGED] (1 Viewer)

In the wake of U.S. Sen. David Vitter’s admission that he engaged a Washington, D.C., prostitute, a member of the Republican State Central Committee called for him to resign.

Vincent Bruno, of Kenner, said today that Vitter should resign “for his own good, the good of the party and the good of his family.” If he doesn’t resign, Vitter should “join the Democratic Party where they think that kind of behavior is OK.”

Awesome.

Maybe if Mrs. Vitter would drop it like its hot in the bedroom we wouldn't be having this discussion. Come to think of it all wifes should take a freaky course or something. :miss114:

Even better.

Not so long ago, South Congress' Red Light District in Austin was a popular place when the State Reps were here. Then, they swept a few up. Still, every so often one gets snagged. Idiots. They can't manage their own affairs, but we elect them to handle ours.

We've got one rep (from Pampa TX, I think) that tries to push through a bunch of anti-gay crap every two years. I can't wait for that guy to get caught out late with a page. Half the town will be dancing in the streets. If I could figure out how to set that homophobe up, I'd probably do it.

I love it, the party of "family values" gets exposed again for blatant hypocrisy. Not that the Dems are any better, but still...Family values. LMAO.

I can't wait for the next piece of morality legislation brought to you by "family values"

Men who like to sleep around with prostitutes have mental problems. This is much worse than just cheating on his wife with some random person.

This is getting interesting. First Vitter rounds up his family and heads out of town rather than face the press.

Then more revelations;

He was a regular at the Canal Street Brothel per TP today. Changing this statement after reading the article more fully. He used their services.

http://blog.nola.com/updates/2007/07/madam_vitter_a_client_at_canal.html

Also, the reason he came clean was because investigators from Hustler Magazine called him Monday asking about the prostititutes.

He got his job because another Louisiana Republican got caught cheating on his wife.

Family Values= Hypocrite

Yes, and the national media has picked up on the local angle now.

New Orleans' Madam Says Sen. David Vitter Used Her Brothel
Tuesday, July 10, 2007

NEW ORLEANS — Sen. David Vitter, who publicly apologized after being linked to an alleged prostitution ring in Washington, D.C., was once a client of a high-priced New Orleans brothel, a former madam said Tuesday.

Saying he was a "decent man" who appeared to be in need of company when he visited the brothel, Jeanette Maier added unexpected details to a scandal enveloping the first-term Republican.

"As far as the girls coming out after seeing David, all they had was nice things to say. It wasn't all about sex. In fact, he just wanted to have somebody listen to him, you know. And I said his wife must not be listening," Maier said.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Senator Landrieu for being the only active politician from this state with any credibility and record of achievement.

Say what you will about Larry Flynt, but IMO he's doing a great service by exposing these hypocrites:

Hustler's 'Moral Hypocrites' Hit List

"Sen. David Vitter, who acknowledged having contacted a Washington escort service, made the admission after being called by Hustler magazine, whose investigative reporter says the sex magazine is targeting "moral hypocrites."

"I can assure you, we have no intention of hurting these people, no intention of interfering with their lives. This is about hypocrisy."

Moldea cited Vitter's conservative record on family issues. Asked if he and Flynt would expose sexual misconduct by a politician without such a record, Moldea said: "If someone hasn't been shooting off his mouth, we'll throw him back in the river."

Jindal is next. He is going to admit he quit heroin 7 months ago which will put the sex, drugs, bribery trifecta into play in post Katrina Louisiana politics. hallelujah.

I was thinking this when somebody wrote they'd like to see the whole phone records.

Who knows, really?

Makes you wish Breaux hadn't retired, I'll bet. The ability of Louisiana's delegation to get recovery $$ has taken yet another hit with Vitters' admitted crimes and alleged crimes.

1. All the predictable partisan comments are tiresome.

2. No matter how you slice it, it is not a redeeming quality to use an escort service and, at the same time, make much of your campaign about famliy and morals.

3. Would it matter if people were told for the 100th time that Clinton's primary problem was the lying under oath on more than one occasion, lying to the public wagging his finger, and having his handler's attack Monica as "that woman," before hearing them say again "it was just sex, what's the difference?"

4. Given the election is 3 years away, I think he can get past this if he stays out of trouble and nothing else comes out.

5. This will not be big news outside of Louisiana in a matter of days, and I doubt it will have nearly as much significance on La's future as people are suggesting. Cheating Congressmen tends to be old hat in DC and there will likely be many more names coming out.

6. Most people outside of LA have no idea who Vitter is.

7. It certainly raises questions regarding his character.
