ppsst, careful, Mickey has been known to kick the can down the road after reading these posts. ShhhhI agree with the need for patience, but we should be fine with the cap by next year unless we do some dumb things between now and then.

Phase One should actually include throw out the 2009 playbook, we are now in yr 2025 and this play book is current?I think the question can be answered in multiple phases:
Phase 1...we officially have new coach. Just off a great year as an OC and our situation is so bad that he really has nowhere to go but up. Not his fault on the players we have, the salary cap issues, etc. So, this next year will be a "freebie."
Phase 2....we can come back and answer this question again once he assembles HIS staff. This will let us all have an opinion on what defense and offense we run. Then we can complain and give kudos to how our existing players will fit those schemes.
Phase 3....what players are cut, restructured, traded, retire, extended, etc. Yet again another opportunity for us to evaluate how the ship is being righted and what time frame is needed to get this going in the right direction.
Phase 4...the draft and free agency. Is this going to be the same as previous years, where we get "projects?". Or...do we go BPA and truly rebuild?
Phase 5....training camp. How does Moore handle the additional responsibilities and run HIS camp.
Phase 6...the season. We stink and we all know we stink. But do we see a difference in the heart and passion of the players? Are our games blowouts or do they become more fun to watch and we see improvement each week? Only time will tell.
Phase one...I'm happy with the choice of Moore. I'll update my answers to the other parts as I see how he hanes each of the other phases. But...so far so good
and NO...I am not related to him
