Pass coverage lapses is the difference between 2-2 and 4-0 (4 Viewers)

What are you talking about? What do other teams or ref bias have to do with this?

When it comes to winning football games, you do not call that coverage when your opponent has 30 seconds and no timeouts. You open yourself up to getting beat deep for either a completion or a chunk flag, which is exactly what happened. We're talking about situational football here in late game deciding situations. We run that defense all game, and rightfully so, but it's a crime to call it in that situation. You play 10 yards off of receivers and force them to throw it in the middle of the field. It's pretty textbook.
Then you get people complaining about giving up easy yards in prevent mode. So no matter what they call, people are gonna pick it apart. Can't win with fans with unreasonable expectations.

That 5 yards was back to 2nd and 10 due to an Atlanta penalty on the next play. Hence the 0 net yards.
Fair enough, the rest of my post was spot on. Not a fluke play when the same guy had been flagged for the same thing twice already. He was targeted specifically because of it. DA put him in that position and should have known better. He should also have known better than to spot them 30 yards on the kick off.

You're complaining about the kickoff now? Lmao. You're funny.

You seem to think spotting them 30 yards from the kickoff and another 30 from a PI is a fluke and not a big deal. THAT is funny.

What? And risk a possible long return? You're not gonna kickoff and stop them on the 10, and probably not 20. I don't know what you expect to happen on a kickoff.

The defense held them to a 58 yard FG.

No one would be complaining because we win the game. 2 minutes left? No, we should not be calling any sort of prevent. 30 seconds and no timeouts? It's the only call that's on the table. You give them one completion over the middle of the field and the game is all but over. It's not like they can dink and dunk down the field with such little time left. The game is literally over after one completion in bounds so as long as it's not 30+ yards. You protect the sidelines, and you don't let anyone behind you. Once again, it's textbook defense for the situation. Our head coach lacks a pretty basic grip on the game.

I just don't like the man call in both blunders.

-Adebo should of have a safety
-DB should of been protect the 1st down marker against the Eagles

I am not complaining about the coverage but I saw that HOF QB Kurt Warner blamed both of our losses on being in man at the end of the game. He knows way more than me or any other fan on this site. lol

But he's not a Saints fan and seen how badly we've screwed up Zone.

That they made after the Saints spotted them 60 yards. :idunno:

Adebo for some reason is above criticism on this forum. He’s overrated and has been since he’s been here.

Again, on the kickoff, what did you expect them to do? You aren't gonna pin them on the 1, the 10, the 20. 25 at best. That's 5 yard difference, and on the off chance that they get more yardage, then you've spotted them more yardage.

The only difference is it runs maybe 5 seconds off the clock, that's about it.

I suppose it's a hot take, lol.

We just have different ideas of what a 60 second defensive strategy to end the game should be. You seem to be ok with spotting them 60 yards, I’m not.
