Pat Kirwan said he heard Carr didn’t want to do Saints contract restructure (179 Viewers)

Dudes got no reason to write about that.
He's got two reasons to write about it. The Carr topic is the hottest topic that will get him the most clicks and subscriptions. He gets more of both if he fans the flames of negativity about Carr, because that's what most Saints fans want to hear due to confirmation bias.

Let's be very clear on this, Underhill is not being evil or bad, he's just doing his best to earn a living in a very competitive market. It's understandable.

The fact that it’s being echoed by multiple other people who aren’t known for clickbait...
TV and Radio personalities are very aware of their ratings and their primary focus is on maximizing their ratings, because they lose their jobs if they don't.

Internet personalities are very aware of their clicks, views and likes and their primary focus is on maximizing all three of those, because their jobs depend on it. This is a cold, hard fact. It is not an opinion.

Everyone who make their living on the internet is involved in clickbaiting, whether they are known for it are not. Clickbaiting doesn't all look the same and they don't all clickbait the same, but everything they say is focused on getting as much clicks and repostings as possible.

You used the key word when you said echoed. That's exactly what's happening. One person puts an idea out their first and then everyone echoes it because they can't afford to be seen as the person that didn't also repeat the story, because it makes them seem out of the loop.

The story is being echoed by several people. It is not being reported by several people. Not a single one of them has said they made any effort to ask Carr directly. Why is that? A journalist would at least reach out to Carr to get his comments and let their viewers know that the reached out.

The quote from Underhill's article:

"There’s also another truth. The Saints ended up exercising Section 6 in Carr’s contract, the one that allowed them to restructure Carr’s deal without any further agreement. Things played out like this because there was no cooperation on the other side of the table. There were even rumors swirling that Carr wanted the freedom to explore his options — that he wanted out, and not the other way around. He might have even worked with them to make it happen."

Not even a single reference from Underhill to having a source. Not a single mention that he reached out to Carr or his agent for a comment.

The most telling thing to me is the part in bold. He doesn't say "reports swirling" he says "rumours swirling." Even he acknowledges that it's all rumors and not actual reporting.

Then he throws in his complete speculation, and all negative at that, that Carr "might" have worked with the team to make leaving happen. That's not journalism. Journalist don't throw out wild speculation like that.

One of the anti -seducers is referred to as the moralizer.

The Moralizer.

  • The character of the Moralizer is rigid.
  • They want to change you, to make you a better person, so they endlessly criticize and judge — that is their pleasure in life.
  • In truth, their moral ideas stem from their own unhappiness and mask their desire to dominate those around them.

Chuckles. It’s 12:05. I must be getting to bed. Goodnight Moralizer
Who's actually judging whom right now?

Who's actually showing rigidity by getting personally upset with someone for having different opinions and beliefs right now?

Who's actually calling whom names right now?

LOL the issue is not that. DC DID like us. He came here on purpose, He wanted to be here. And from before he took his first snap he got blasted for where he took his wife and kids to eat their 1st meal. Blasted for personnel stuff , like the eyeliner nonsense. We had people join this site with the sole intention of personally attacking DC and did nothing but that. And you all took the bait

Hahahaha. Tell me you're not being serious.

True story.

I spoke to a lady today and she was very pleasant to talk to. She was sweet with her words, even went as far as to say I was one of the rare techs w/ a personality and that I must be making my father proud.

I returned the pleasantness and told her she was quite charming.

Surprisingly she rejected it, and said charmers are manipulative, which I agreed that it is a form of manipulation but not always bad.

So…I googled her. Guess what I discovered?

Her name was attached to a lawsuit against Walmart. In the lawsuit she claimed she had a permanent stutter, eons of back aches and a bunch of other inflated injuries. Even more interesting her last name was that of someone famous and I playfully asked…was she related and she said that’s my grandfather.

I being gullible said oh wow, then she said no..that’s not my grandfather because if it was I wouldn’t be working here…I’d live off his money.

The lawsuit and that comment revealed a woman who would try to get over if it meant her comfort and yet her rejection of being charming and calling out the manipulation as though it was some moral evil actually covered up her own immoral actions.

In other words the people who act holier than thou are typically the most corrupt.

Mr I’m such a straight shooter likely has some skeletons…they always do 🤣. Putting themselves over others just makes them feel better.

I’m a good person because I wouldn’t do that thing and since a bad person would…that makes me good.

Humans
And who is actually being holier than thou right now?

Who is actually being judgemental right now?

Not all humans are the same. It would be helpful if people started understanding that.

I don’t think anyone really cares about the Chipotle thing or holds that against him — that’s just silly. I think his apologists actually bring it up more than anyone else.

It would have been long forgotten if the last two years had gone better. But they didn’t, and it’s just become kind of symbolic for what has been a poor fit.
Right it’s the biggest troll of a joke but the end part is making it more ironic lol

I'm not a huge fan of his. He isn't our answer at QB and as long as he's on the team we'll never find that answer.

You are completely out of touch, There are still people commenting on the Chipotle issue in a negative way every day. Just because you don't thing anyone really cares does not mean that it does not happen. Do you know remember when DC 1st signed the 5 or 6 people that joined right after that said they were Raider fans and did nothing but bash Carr and personally attack him so much that they got banned? It started the DC disent because a lot of people said " Hey they are Raider fans so they must know" and they bought it. And when he didn't turn out to be Drew Brees, which he never was going to they turned on him.

Now all the click bait chasers, and don't fool yourself they ALL are click bait chasers have smelt the blood in the water they are all pandering to that faction. Moscona be one of the biggest culprits . LOL he said that 85% od Saints fans feel like he does making it so if you do not then you're just not one of the Saints fans. So what to you think click bait chasers like Moscona and the other are going to do? Post a headline like "Carr is not the problem" or one like he did post "

Derek Carr Contract Keeps the Saints in SALARY CAP HELL!! "

While I don't agree with what Skrmetta says he's right more than wrong. And I like what he does when he make his own comments on what the other click bait chasers post, kind of like a fact checker. Here he pretty much says without coming out and saying it that Moscona is off base about DC's contract and why the Saints did the right thing

That's the thing too... most Raider fans are dumb af.
Quite a few on different raider forums and twitter were ready to throw a parade for McDaniels when he benched Carr and eventually cut him. Turns out he was one of the worst coaches in franchise history and pissed off the whole team and caused other players (like Davante) to demand trades or didn't re-sign with them. Tore down the roster and then got fired like the piece of work he is.
But these clowns were ready to crown him since they hated Carr more than they rooted for their own team's success. (Hmm seems familiar here)

Man, I certainly had no plans to start an 18-page thread when posting something interesting I heard on SiriusXM, but here we are.

The ONLY reason I will give Carr crap for eating at Chipotle is that he spent a lot of time in Texas and Cali and he should have better taste in Tex-Mex. But, again, accommodating his kids, I get it. NOLA cuisine can be intimidating at first, especially if you grew up in a landlocked area or one that doesn't have a thriving seafood industry.

You’ve made this claim several times. Do you have examples where Raider fans were ready to throw a parade?

I’m sure they was happy for the band aid to be tore off after so many years
football is a team game but as a starter you should understand your job ain’t secure with losing seasons almost every b year and we changing everything outside of you
get you weapons cooper Adams jacobs great te
At some point we gotta get to the qb and change the energy and then it’s how you handle the adversity
He seemed as though he would be a detriment to the locker room once benched instead of taking the youngin under his wing like a leader would (I maybe wrong but that’s how I remember it ofcourse im not including the business aspect of things because im unsure how that all played but I don’t think he’s left much room to return the places he gone post career like most retired players
