Got injured in 7 snaps. Yikes. I just don't see how you keep him around long term with these injury problems.

Just read an article on SaintsWire that said the exact same thing. It looks like he will need surgery. So I don't expect him back until about week 14. I read another article where they did a study on the type of artificial turf that Saints and other teams use have the most turf toe injuries than on natural grass. Maybe the Saints ought to look into a different type of artificial turf.It took Penning 12 weeks before he played his first game after his turf toe injury last preseason. I’m expecting the same recovery time or later.

I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. Gotta pace the rookie over the long season. The strength of the position is it's rotational depth. He's still a two down pass rusher. So, I don't see him starting for a few more weeks. Let him take off run support snap that'll only just zap him of his energy for when you need him to pass rush.Bresee only two less snaps than Shepherd.
Starting soon??
I feel sorry for him. I hope he recovers
But…
What the hell, man? How can it be possible draft two DE back to back who are both made of glass?? What are the odds? Foskey needs to get his shirt together pronto
Cam Jordan was drafted in 2011 and rarely misses a game.
So he's has had only 2 of the last 8 years where he didn't miss gamesAccording to his Houston bio, he played in
2017: 11 games
2018: 11 games
2019: 12 games and
2020: 5 (out of 8 games)
