Two sides to this coin regarding us playing SP/PC Denver team.

1.) We should not be scared of the rookie Bo Nix.

2.) We have a history of losing to rookie QBs.

I'm not knocking Carmichael's traits as a behind the scenes guy, but I don't think he will be a factor.

Bingo. In hindsight, don't hire the guy who doesn't want the job in the first place, and being an assistant suits his skillset. It would have been great to keep PC around as an assistant or troubleshooter, but it's obvious the Saints aren't running the same system this year, which might explain why he was fired rather than just displaced.
