This guy is a Saints lifer. Has he been a superstar? No. Has he made errors at times? Sure. But he's turned into a very solid third round pick for us I feel, and is loyal.

There was a moment last season where this guy got hurt, and I could see the pain in his face when he was not able to return to the game and he was literally crying, and I realized right then and there why they keep this guy around. He's a solid pro, with heart.

I mean, we had a hole to fill at FS/SS so it's smart to fill it before the draft so you aren't forced to draft one and we do need a penetrator at DT. It may be that the plan is to rely on an offensive player heavy draft to fill out the offense. Given the prices for WRs in the free agent market this year, that might not be a bad plan.

Also, they signed Forrest Lamp to provide depth/competition for the interior OL yesterday so it's not like they aren't doing anything on offense especially when you consider the additions of Winson, TQS, and Harty. I mean, I'd love some impact players but the cap adjustment plan wasn't going to allow for that in this market and there really isn't any great players available on offense at this point. Still, I hope they bring in a mid-level WR like Many Sanders or trade for a guy like Cooks.

It's sarcasm mixed with the lack of signings on the offensive side. We have needs at OL, WR, and RB and it seems we are taking a passive approach. We signed TQS and that's it. I feel like we are about to go into the draft like we never did in the past- with needs.

He's not perfect, but he's one of the most underrated and underappreciated (by the fans) players on our team. Great signing and veteran presence retained
