Obviously Colston, Stills, and Cooks are in. Then the questions becomes who makes the team for depth and special teams?

I was so happy to see Morgan have a great game against the Titans and I hope he continues to progress well. I haven't seen him in any special teams packages, but I've heard SP praise his blocking ability and versatility.

I'm torn between Meach and Toon. Meach is a proven vet who knows the system well and has his niche. Toon has been hyped this camp but he looks really soft game time. And I won't mention how he blew his best opportunity last season in what could have been a coming out party against his dad's former team. Seriously, every time someone brings up Toon, someone has to mention that game, so I won't.

I say vote for 5, though it's possible we could carry 6. I just think there is to much depth at other positions, and I think we are gonna see a lot of special teams spots from DBs, LBs, and TEs.

So for me it's Colston, Stills, Cooks, Morgan, and Meach. I actually think Toon could take Meach's spot, but I hope he doesn't. Meach offers a lot more and is proven. Toon could still develop but how much longer should we wait? If anything, I think this is his last year to prove himself in a game.

I think there is about 50% chance that both Coleman and Jones make it to the squad. I'm hoping both do, especially Jones. Who would you like to see make the practice squad?

I think we let Meachem go, if we need him later on because of injury he'll likely be still out there.

Meachem took 3 years to develop in our offense. This is Toon's second year healthy, so he should get at least another year before being written off.

I don't see what Meach brings. His speed is all but gone and his hands are below average.

It makes more sense to keep another tall, possession receiver like Toon since we already have 3 guys who can stretch the defense (Cooks, Stills, Morgan) which is supposed to be Meach's role.

good point, his experience with san diego should be enough to scare off any other teams

but on gameday, i'd rather trust him over toon

great blocker and understands route concepts

as far as toon, he who hesitates...

Colston
Stills
Cooks
Morgan
Coleman

I think the Saints are looking to the future and Youth is in their sights. Imho, Both Toon and Meachem are the ones on the bubble. A savvy Vet can always be added somewhere down the line.....

I went with six. Colston, Cooks, Stills, Morgan, Meachem, Toon. I think Morgan's ability to play ST allows you to keep an extra receiver.

Morgan would have to have a complete meltdown in one of the next couple of games to not make it after that performance yesterday.

I think the bottom of the WR roster goes to the guy who plays special teams and or has future undeveloped potential at the WR position. You don't really go with a veteran who doesn't play special teams and has limited potential.

1.Colston
2.Stills
3.Cooks
4.Toon
5.Morgan
6.Coleman

I think Meachem will be the surprise (not a big surprise) cut when they form this roster, I think Coleman will make it as a developmental prospect much like Josh Hill made it as the 3rd tight end. Morgan was ready for a bigger role last season before the injury and I think he is still that ascending player in the coaches eye and players like Stills, Toon and Cooks are inline for touches and Meachem would take snaoz away from them.....youth movement will continue.

I don't think Coleman will make it to the practice squad. Another team will snatch him up quickly. Another poster mentioned that if da Meach is cut, he will be available later on if we need him. I humbly agree.

I think Payton mentionned during camp how comfortable Brees is with Colston and Meachem, because they know when to break off their routes and adjust to what Brees does. That is the only reason why I see Meachem still making the team.

Right now I'm not sure we would even put Coleman on the PS, much less another team pick him up for their active roster.

I would guess S. Jones makes the PS and might push Toon for the 6th spot (if we go 6).

Colston
Stills
Cooks
Morgan
Meachem
Toon

S. Jones on the PS
