I had one of those deep thought moments regarding our WR corps. We were rougher than fresh sandpaper last season. And if you were like me, the drops, miscues, bad routes, etc. had you punching air like Cuba Gooding Jr in Boyz in the Hood. Fast forward today (a week after the 1st Round), and we have a level of speed that we haven't had in years with Olavé. Then I thought about something: what can we get out of Kevin White?

Now before you think I'm crazy or drunk (unfortunately I am not neither at the moment), just heard me out. I know that last season was an attempt to revive his career and help him shed the bust label. But we didn't have the personnel that we do now. And with the possible signing of Jarvis, does this actually help us out in the way we didn't anticipate? I mean, if he's on the field he will be facing either a nickel corner or at max, a safety?

All of our pass catchers benefit from having CGM back and drafting Olave. It will be interesting to see who makes the roster, but those who do will find defenses much easier to navigate and DBs that are a bit easier to beat.

White could possibly take a step, but if I recall correctly, it's his hands that's held him back more than anything else. Remember last year when he caught that pass? Dude jumped up after the play and celebrated like he just won the game.

I hope he does suddenly become the player everybody thought he'd be coming out of college. He's a Saint so I pull for him. I'll just say that his chance is rather small. Some of our back-list and UDFA WRs have a good shot at pushing him off the roster.

He can't catch...he's like a kicker with the yips...he's all in his own head.
I won't argue with you or what anyone else has said. But he's still on the roster (and Kenny ain't), and it made me wonder why. Do they think our new WR coach can get him out of his head and his own way?

No point in it anymore....there's no roster space for him anymore. Spots 1-5 are pretty much spoken for

Olave
Callaway/Harty/TQS

That's the hope. It's always been the hope and the one and only reason he's still in the league. BUT... Treadwell has had a late career resurgence. It's not out of the question by any means.

Dude has good size and speed. He can get open, but the guy is straight awful at catching the football. Go rewatch some of the games and try to figure out what he was actually trying to catch? There were times where his hands were nowhere near the ball, despite the ball being placed in a great spot. It’s so odd/confusing that it became comical to me. Just weird how that guy was so good in college and has regressed to the point where he should not be on any roster……in any league. That’s how bad he is.

Yeah no point in investing much in him. Like some said he can't catch. He will never be able to either, not at the rate that is even expected out of Grade C reciever. If we or the team is hoping for him to contribute then this team's season is in trouble.

There are 5WRs, AK, Taysom and Trautman who should see the ball before White ever gets a sniff.

It’s frustrating as heck cause he gets himself wide open on practically every play. But you are 100% right, a wr who can get open but can’t catch is like a kicker with a 100 yard leg, but can’t split the uprights. Useless.
