Models are digging the system so far South Its almost a non factor. Still a long ways out so it could trend back but doubtful.Yes, it was about as bad looking on radar as it was in western Louisiana earlier in the day. When you have all of those little bumps and waves in the squall line and they each start popping a warning, the map gets crazy in a hurry.
Now, about next week.....what are we possibly looking at? Please tell me that models aren't trending toward ridiculous levels.
I think if the repairs equal a set % of what they deem value of the car, they total it. This is second time we have had tree limb fall on hood of cars. First time going down the road, this time in driveway. First was totaled and I expect this one to be too. Talking with insurance people today.I'm just curious and allow any insurance expert to correct me if i'm wrong. Cars are usually only totaled if the frame
is damaged
Spoke too soon. Models are flipping back today. This is why I hate mentioning longer range forecasts.Models are digging the system so far South Its almost a non factor. Still a long ways out so it could trend back but doubtful.
It continues to trend down. Veering surface winds look to prevent a much bigger outbreak. Models are still quite inconsistent.Looks like local news began putting out severe weather risk maps for SE, LA for Tuesday this morning.
I was listening to the WWL met earlier today. He said the biggest threat is west and north of Baton Rouge. The coastal areas might escape this one.Tomorrow has potential to be the most significant severe weather day so far this year. Lot of things lining up across central Ms to central Tn and the La/Ms/Tn delta area. Not a slam dunk yet but should see supercells with really good directional shear and a lot of instability.
Yeah should be good along and south of 10/12.I was listening to the WWL met earlier today. He said the biggest threat is west and north of Baton Rouge. The coastal areas might escape this one.
Did it blow the windows out of the cars or actually roll/toss them? Glad they ok.Minden got hit. Just got a call from my Mom. Everyone is OK at my brothers house and the house is fine, but all of their cars were destroyed. Very very lucky.
A massive tree landed on them. It's amazing that the tree didn't hit the house.Did it blow the windows out of the cars or actually roll/toss them? Glad they ok.
We just got power back in Haughton. Apparently had a Tornado move through to the South of us and a Tornado go down I-20 to the North of us. The Research Station in South Bossier is still out of power and officially closed today. Luckily the old "Barksdale Bubble" keeps pushing the worst around us.Media reporting people trapped in S Bossier in a mobile home park near Southgate Estates. 60 some thousand without power in the area.
