Props to Unger (1 Viewer)

Other than Brees, Unger is the MVP of the offense...you think Seattle and RW are missing him a bit? Unger makes Seattle a SB contender, without him their ground game and RW are meh....in hindsight JG for Unger straight up is a win for us....
Seattle has found its center of the future in 25-year old Justin Britt... and is not missing Max.

If you weren't aware, Britt was recently named as a Pro Bowl alternate.

And the trade was not straight up Graham for Unger. The Saints got Seattle's 1st round pick, which they used to draft Anthony... and Seattle got NO's 4th rounder, which they used to move up in the 3rd round to draft Tyler Lockett.

With Unger in their lineup they likely slide Britt over to Guard and help shore up the rest of the OL disaster that gave up 5 sacks in the first half vs the Cardinals. They could really use Unger out there and any other help they can get.

I shook hands with Unger before the season, at mini-camp. In that handshake, I felt he could probably block me 9 out 10 times. That's reasonably good.

Without Unger:

25 of 41 passing 248 yards 5.9 yards per catch.
Three interceptions.
No touchdowns.
2.9 yards per rush.

With Unger:

23 of 34 passing 299 yards 8.2 yards per catch.
No interceptions.
Three touchdowns.
4.0 yards per rush.

Unger was also banged up against the Lions, and was clearly playing hurt... Brees' other 3 interception, 0 touchdown outing. He comes back against the Cardinals, and the Saints go absolutely crazy on offense? It's not a coincidence. Dude's a monster and unfortunately it took him being injured for us to truly see and appreciate the type of impact player he is.

just because a player makes the Pro Bowl doesn't mean much these days. Britt may be a fine young C but I believe Unger is the best in the NFL along with Alex Mack (who unfortunately plays for the Falcons). If you don't think they are missing him and his line/protection calls you clearly haven't watched the Seahawks much this year.

Duh, I know it wasn't straight up, what I was saying is that if we had JG right now I would trade him straight up for Unger, I feel Unger is way more valuable to our offense as was painfully evident in the games he was hurt/missed.....

Excellent points.

Bad idea... already been tried. Britt failed miserably as a G in his sophomore year... preceded by him also failing miserably as a T in his rookie year.
