I think we’re going to need to exercise some patience when it comes to getting a QB in the draft. It’s rather clear that Carr is not the long term answer and never was. And it seems clear that the 2025 draft is not rich in QB talent. So, let’s stick with Carr until there’s a better draft class for QBs and not get obsessed with mediocre QBs in the draft. By the way, we already have two late round QBs, so there’s little merit in drafting another one of those.

What needs to happen in my view is that the rest of the team needs to be shored up. On offense, that means better guard play, which can be addressed in later rounds. Let’s get a tough WR like CGM in his prime. And let’s get a TE that’s at least a viable blocker. Provide Carr and his successor with the weapons he needs.

On defense, a NT, an edge rusher, a CB, a safety. Safety and CB can come in later rounds. NT and Edge need to come from higher rounds.

Some of these needs can be met in free agency, but not many due to the cap limitations. And this can change due to fifth year options and the like. Eight picks in the draft should provide a good opportunity to meet these needs, so long as the trade-up mania doesn’t continue.

Carr is a top 5 QB this year, playing the most efficient ball of his career. He’ll only improve w/ a 2nd year in the system.
How dare you bring facts and logic into the Carr topic, don't you know he and his family eat at Chipotle's

I think you’re DEAD WRONG. Sanders is the definition of a primadonna. He’s completely self-centered and self-absorbed.. and he’s proven on multiple occasions that he’ll throw his teammates under the bus to save face.

I honestly will be surprised if he does anything other than crash and burn in the NFL.

*Only saving grace for him is if the league decides he’s the next golden boy and dictates his success… ***which they would NOT do if he lands on the Saints
You may be correct. I haven't seen that side of him. I have only watched his play on the field. But doesn't the NFL have and has had numerous prima donnas? What do think Terrell Owens was? Cam Newton? Several receivers playing in the NFL right now....

I agree with Nick. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing or an insult. Most non-star QBs are of that description. Lord knows there are plenty of QBs that you CAN’T win with.

Carr is simply a guy we need to surround with a high level of talent and a good scheme. He can’t make others around him better, but he can be a great point guard that can dish it when he has guys around him.

I forgot what Saints player said this (Demario maybe?), but he’s basically like a Rajon Rondo.
I can think of only 4 QBs that can win a game or really elevate the team by themselves to win a game. Mahomes, Jackson, Allen and Burrow. And they all do that by buying time in the pocket or with running. And they all have some very good talent around them. There's never been a QB good enough to make a bad team good. I think if you put good to very good talent does not have to be elite around DC and the right system we can make it to the SB.

Look at what we did in the 1st 2 games with an avg OL a WR that would be a #2 on most teams, below avg TEs and only 1 very god RB. Yes we had TH but look at what we did just those players.

The other thing is this ridiculous belief that the QB is solely responsible for the W/L record.. Mahomes , Allen, Burrow or Jackson would not win games without a great defense. The 86 Bears had McMahon @ QB the 2000 Ravens had Dilfer and Banks @ QB . Philly won a SB with Foles @ QB
