Rams trade for Dante Fowler (2 Viewers)

First I'll say welcome to SSR.com Rams fan. Second I'll say this, you are gonna be in for quite the rude awakening come Sunday if you think Donald will get 8 sacks on Brees. First our online is probably the best in football at full clip. Armstead, Peat, Unger, Warford, and Ryan Ram bam thank you ma'am are flat out dominant. They love to run block and they also protect Brees extremely well. Add that to the fact that Sean Payton will game plan to take away or limit the effectiveness of your best pass rusher. (Aaron Donald) like he does against most top tier defenses hes up against. The Rams defense has faced nothing like the buzzsaw they're about to run into in the Superdome on Sunday. Not trying to be a prick but bad secondary vs Brees in the Superdome usually = 40 burger. Saints run defense is stout! Todd gurly is an insane talent so I'm excited to see him vs our run defense in what's gonna be a loud hostile Superdome. The Saints do give up lots of passing yards so I expect Cooper kuup, and cooks to have good fantasy days. I see this game being similar to the Washington game. Except more production from the wide outs. 43-28 saints

thanks for the welcome bro . I am Here to respectfully debate football with other fans . Bring good arguments to the table and provide good info on the rams team , NO next opponent.

About the post , Well , the offense didn't change much from last year's offense , right ? Last year rams defense held you guys to 20 points and our defense this year is much better . I hate to predict scores but I think we win this one by 7 points . Something like 33-26.

About being loud , it is NOT louder or more hostile than the seattle seahawks stadium and that didn't stop the rams from winning . BTW - the rams are a better team ON THE ROAD . that is when they play their best .

BTW - I never said donald will get 8 sacks . But I think it is possible for him to get 3 coupled with 1 or 2 from suh / brokers / fowler , totalizing 5 sacks . Not impossible. Like I said , this is the most fierce D line saints will face this season.

1- They will not enter salary cap purgatory . All of our key players like Donald , gurley , cooks are locked to 4-5 year contracts .

2- I am debating the game rams x saints here , not which team has more fans or hot cheerleaders . I could care less about this .

3- The rams fan base will keep growing ( not like I give a damn , but anyway ) , rams were a pathetic team for too long , it started to change last year only , after sean mcvay was selected to be the coach . I am a fan since 1999.

4- We don't need home field advantage , we win regardless.

5- Last sunday there were a lot of other La sports games happening at the same time , in case you didn't know , including the dodgers x red sox FINALS .

I hate to break it to you, but your stadium has been that way all season long. This last game against the Packers isn't some revelation. In fact, the Chargers games in LA always seem to have a ton of empty seats. LA is a crappy sports town in general, period. Especially when it comes to Football. You can't compete with the Lakers and Dodgers there. Never have, never will.

Like I said bro , I really don't give a damn . How many fans the rams have or DON'T have DOES NOT affect the outcome of the game this sunday . Not even sure why are you bringing this up .

Because your team is in a crappy commute city. And because your team will never truly enjoy a true homefield advantage.

Again , I really don't care . I care about winning the super bowl , and as of now , my team is a lil closer to that goal than yours. The rams are just a LIL bit better than the Saints according to ALL sports analysts . That doesn't mean they are gonna win sunday and certainly doesn't mean they are winning the SB . BUUUUt , as of now , rams are the number 1 team in the NFL , like it or not . You guys are second ( or maybe third after the chiefs ) .

There you go , crappy commute city , no true homefield advantage ( we will see about that in the playoffs thought ) but ok crappy commute city , no true homefield advantage and STILL the number 1 team in the NFL , only undefeated team and number 1 in ALL power rankings . Can you imagine if we had a better city and true homefield advantage ?

IT wouldn't even be funny to watch the games .

If you're truly here to talk football, gather insight, talk a little trash, and have a good time this is the right site and I'm the right saints fan ?.

First off this isn't the same offense as last year... Three big reasons. 1st. Terron Armstead battled injurys most of last year and this year he's healthy and Dominant!. Add that to the fact that Ryan Ramcyzk isn't a rookie like last year and is playing lights out, along with an all pro center Max Unger and two probowl gaurds Andrus Peat and Larry Warford. Saints online is Stout, arguably best in football.

2nd Mike Thomas #can'tgaurdmike #CGM has tourched every suspect secondary we've faced this year. Seriously the only teams that have slowed him down specifically game planned against him with multiple defenders (sometimes as many as three ?) or the top defenses in the NFL see Ravens game. Even if you manage to take him away, Brees has an emerging stud in Tre'quan Smith, Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram, Ben Watson a bunch of other lesser known weapons like Josh hill and Cameron meridith who will make teams pay for single coverage.

Last but not least we have a created player named Taysom hill who is listed as our third string QB but actually he's a first down, special teams, and read option machine. Dude is a weapon that we unleash on people. Need a first down on 4th and 6? Taysom Hill fake punt. Need some one blown up on a kick return? Unleash Taysom Hill. Need to pick up a 3rd and 2 and leave a defense not knowing what to do? Taysom Hill. Need a 40yrd kick return? Taysom Hill. Seriously dude squats 700lbs and runs a 4.44 40yd dash. I'm not just waxing poetically because it's holloween but when it comes to Taysom Hill be afraid, be very afraid. Ps. This guy named Sean Payton who happens to be the head coach for the saints... Smart, Agressive, big Malcolm in the middle looking dude on the sidelines? He knows how to use all of those aforementioned weapons very effectively. Seriously I was being conservative when I said 43-28. Suspect secondary vs Brees in the dome is a recipe for 40 point gumbo.

Also Defensively were a much different team than last year. Demario Davis was a huge addition. As we speak he's PFF #1 LB vs the run and a huge reason the saints have the number 1 run defense in the NFL. Saints DLine is also very dominant vs the run. Cam Jordan, Sheldon Rankins, and Rookie Marcus Davenport provide excellent pass rush as well as playmaking ability in run support. Alex Oakfor, Tyler Davidson, David Oynyemata (I hope I spelled that right) help Jordan, Rankins and Davenport gain favorable match-ups along the Dline. And put opposing QBs under heavy pressure. Goff is gonna be in for a long night. Our weakest link was our second corner and nickleback. Trading for Eli Apple helps but it's too Soon to tell how much. Our starting nickel Patrick Robinson is on ir and that's why teams have had success passing on us. One thing we do have in our secondary is solid tackling and playmakers in certain spots. We don't allow leaky yards.. where you catch it is where the play usually ends. PJ Williams will blast you! Ask Adrian Peterson, and Adam Theilen. Marcus Williams will pick off passes in his range and that kid has Range! Marcus Lattimore is a young stud at corner and getting better every game.
I know this is kinda long but it's my last post of the night... If you go to the game I hope you enjoy the city, have a great time, eat some good food, and enjoy watching the great Drew Brees do his thing on Sunday. Peace bro

And you know this, how? Have you been to Seattle? And the Super Dome? I've heard many analysts say that there is no tougher place to play. Maybe a couple on our level, but I don't think you'll be leaving with the impression you are speaking of.

Thanks for the reply and all the insight bro . That tyson hill dude seems like a damn good player to have . Would love to have him on my side . We do have our own version of someone similar but our guy plays defense , his name is cory litleton . He also plays special teams and he is a punt blocking machine ( blocked 5 so far this year ) . As a linebacker he is so versatile , he can do it all . Our special teams actually wins games for us , hecker is all pro punter who can ALSO PASS instead of punting , last game mcvay called a fake punt and hecker completed a pass for a first down . Hecker and the rest of the special teams unit constantly pins the opposing offense inside their own 5 yard , and that is why the rams ALREADY have a good number os safeties this season . Jojo natson is all pro punt returner that constantly gives our offense good field position to start the drives . Greg zurlein is a all pro kicker (top 3 in the league ) and RARELY misses a fg . He can nail 55-60 . Our special teams is truly good .

about the defense , I am worried with our weak secondary , if brees has a lot of time in his hands he will destroy us , I don't doubt the saints can put up 40 points in this game , I really don't . But I think the same problem our d will have to stop saints o , will happen vice versa . The saints defense will have the same problems . I think this game might be like 44-40 to the rams or vice versa , really . These offenses are too powerfull and both defenses shouldn't be able to contain it .....

I am not going to the game sunday , I wish I could . Seatle's stadium and the chiefs stadium are suposed to be the two loudest to play in the NFL :

https://seahawkswire.usatoday.com/2...fans-bicker-over-who-has-the-loudest-stadium/

No prob Rams fan, btw we have an amazing special teams also. Our punter Thomas Morested is a probowler but our offense has only punted like 4 times in the last two games... On the road vs Two very stout defenses. There was a game in which we didn't even punt at all... I think it was vs the Giants or Redskins can't really recall. Our offense is that good. Even vs good defenses. I can't imagine the numbers they would put up vs the Cardinals, Raiders or Niners. And Will Lutz saints Kicker is something like 16/17 with a few kicks beyond 50+ so the Saints special teams is also... Special ??.

He spreads the opposing OL enough for Suh and Donald to wreak havoc. That helps their secondary also. Let's see how saints counter, as there is no film of him playing with the Rams as well.

That makes very little sense unless you think we were just going to leave the Rams DEs unblocked without Fowler.

Before this trade, any Rams DE was gonna be 1 on 1 with one of the best OTs in the league. After this trade...any Rams DE is gonna still be 1 on 1.

This doesn't change our protections at all. Donald is still getting doubled.
