Rams trade for Dante Fowler (1 Viewer)

I am not going to the game sunday , I wish I could . Seatle's stadium and the chiefs stadium are suposed to be the two loudest to play in the NFL :

You can buy that if you'd like, or you can believe player after player who tells you that on the field, there's no tougher place to play than the Superdome. When the Saints are good, the noise, atmosphere, and disorientation are the best in the league. Especially in big/primetime games.

LOL cmon man , not here to pick fights . It is ok to be confident , saints are playing great and loaded with talent but some guys here are way too cocky and delusional . there are actually good posts here , some guys knows what they are talking about
Calls people way too cocky and delusional but comes into opposing fans forums basically saying we should be kneeling and humble about the rams lmao okay mr.delusional

They will face the best defensive line in the league . Yeah , good luck .
Best defensive line in the league according to who?

Rams rank 8th in the league in sacks. Know who's first? The Ravens. They had one sack against us.

Rushing defense - Saints rank #1 in the league. Rams are 12th. Minnesota is ranked #5 and Gurley had 83 yards rushing and 0 TD's against them.

So perhaps unless you are using payroll as a gauge, pray tell me how the Rams are the #1 defensive line in the league?

they need to watch the packers game over and over, especially that first half, didnt they punt like 3-5 times in a row? if that happens in the dome, saints should be up double digits quick

I was about to come here to say that they seem to be mortgaging the future a bit, but I guess we're guilty of the same.

Gonna be a dogfight in the NFC: Saints, Rams and Eagles are trying to win NOW

They don’t have the horses on offense but the Skins are going all in too. That defense is nasty.

Serious question guys because I don't watch alot of JVille... has Fowler been any good? From what I heard... Ngakwe (I know I killed his name) was playing much better which made Fowler expendable. Why should we be concerned? Hell he might not be active.

So I was browsing the Rams forum and ran across this haha.... :munch:

"In a shocking development, brazenly cocky fanbase of great team accuses fanbase of another great team of not being sufficiently humble. Full story at 10:00....I may or may not be wearing pants."

Good luck sacking the Saints! The Rams defense averages 2.75 sacks per game while the Saints offensive line only allows 1.29 sacks per game.

The Rams have been blitzed the 10th most in the league and have been sacked 17 times while only sacking their opponents 22 times for a .77 sack per TD ratio.

The Saints have been blitzed the 6th most in the league and have only been sacked 9 times while sacking their opponents 17 times for a .53 sack per TD ratio which is better than the Rams.

Was listening to the NFL Network on Sirius this morning, and they had an interview with the Rams GM. He said they made this trade because they expect to have 1 or 2 compensatory 3rd round draft picks next season due to losing two free agents.

Didn't the Rams sign some free agents (Suh for starters) this season? I'm a bit confused how the compensatory process works, as they don't seem to be a candidate to receive anything, IMO, much less two extra 3rd rounders. Hoping someone can shed some light on this please...

Fowler alone doesn't scare any o line , I will AGREE . But donald / suh / brockers / fowler will scare and demand respect out of ANY O LINE . Saints O line is SOLID but for some reason if they don't bring their A game brees are gonna get sacked 6 times .
It's a good DL but just repeating their names in multiple posts doesn't make for a great argument. I think we will do fine against your DL. Drew is second in the league in Time to Thow at 2.55s. We aren't giving teams lots of time to rush him. The Vikings sacked Drew 0 times last week. Drew is 1st in the league for least sacked "qualified" QBs with only 9 sacks (we did have a bye). We probably have the best OL the Rams have faced all year. Six sacks aren't happening. Most likely Donald get 0-1 sack like he did against the Chargers and Seattle unlike the 4 he had against SF. That division is the definition of stat padding with the two worst teams in the NFC.

Your OL is possibly the best in the league. Ours is probably near the top as well. I think both QBs won't get sacked more than 3 times. Both teams can win a shootout or run it to win. I think the game comes down to defense. Both teams are bad against the pass. This trends towards a shootout, but I like our run defense. We are 1st in y/a at 3.2 and the Rams are 16th at 4.3. I think if we get a lead as we did against Minny, Wash, and Balt (the 5, 6, 7 rushing defenses) we can go on long drives running the ball and eat clock. Playing from ahead and controlling the pace of the game was key to our last to two victories. That said, we won a 43-37 shootout against Atl. I think this game will be closer to that.

It will be a good game.

Donald has more penalties 1 than sacks 0.

Fowler was a good pickup for them. It felt like he was the only one making positive plays in the Saints backfield.
