Relax, we will rebound in Week 4 and beyond (1 Viewer)

Yep and the defense vomitted that game away. I blame this more on the defense than the offense. You can always play good defense, but you cant always play good offense. For 90 percent of teams the offense struggles most of the time
That's entirely false. This loss was on the offense. The defense is the only reason we didn't get blown out. Well them and special teams blocking a punt. Guess what the o did with that and those turnovers? Zilch.

I don’t think it’s gonna be the same thing. It’s a gut check from being on a two week high, but it’s better to get chin checked week 3. This loss is solely on the coaches.

Minus the last desperate throw, Carr took care of the ball, played average with a great TD throw. Was under duress way to much to be effective .

Alvin played with that was given him,

The oline got destroyed 99% of the game. But eagles have one of the beefiest dlines in the game, it was to be expected.
I agree and not many teams have the players to effectively run the 5 man front the Eagles relied on today. We also don't know how effective the Eagle's scheme would have been if McCoy stays in the game or Hill is moving all over the formation.

I'm sure a lot of folks said that after the Green Bay collapse in week 3 last year. Fumbling games that are gift-wrapped to you will always come back to bite you.

Even more concerning, our head coach is showing the same flaws with a lack of game awareness with his playcalling in end-of-game situations. The 3rd and 16 play-call was wildly bad and goes to show that he still continues to lack fundamental awareness late in games.

In the standings are we really that hurt? Probably not. But it's a greater concern that we aren't showing growth in that area.
Spot on. Today's game was a deep dive back into the last 3 years of DAES-y seasons -- Dennis Allen Embarrassing Saints.

I didn't put the game on until right before the Saints TD.
Just found out DA chose to go for it on 4th down while in FG range, and also punted from the Eagles 40.
I wasn't accepting all of the hype after going 2 - 0 .
I was not going to believe that DA changed his spots from polka- to leopard . Couldn't do it. He has proven what type of head coach he is. He has a more than ample sample size.
I see a deep nose-dive for the rest of the season. Especially if McCoy is out for any length of time.
The Falcons may steamroll us next week.

It's only week 3, and the team looks improved which still has good feel.

However, the bonehead herpa-derpa plays at the end that did indeed cost the Saints the gift-wrapped game was a setback and reminder of some of last season's ugly.

Penning's going insane at the worst possible time, Carr blowing focus at the end, the rush D giving up the run bomb, and the monumental fail twice on Goedert.

Saints blew a conference game and a home game today, so pretty much it's must win next week if they are really a better team than their mediocre persona.

Tied for first in the division so we'll see how important that is to them next week.

Thank you. Falcons are going to be a desperate, prove it team. I havent seen the Saints act like a desperate prove it team since 2020.

This was a weird game as both teams did their part in trying to lose. Some of those decisions made by the Eagles HC were total head scratchers. It's just that the Saints made their bad decisions at the end when it cost them the game.

For some reason, Jalen Hurts and that RPO offense always seems to give DA's defenses fits. His unit held up for the most part but you could feel that at any moment, it could break and it did. Allowing a 66 yard TD run to break the game open.

However, the lost is really on the offense. Kubiak, for some reason, was locked in on forcing the run and that cost them big time. It stalled drives and prevented them from taking advantages of a blocked punt and a turnover at midfield in the 1st half. It kept putting the defense back on the field and giving Hurts too many opportunities. They left points on the field with those mistakes and it was very frustrating watching that unfold continuously. I didn't get at the time and I still don't get what they were trying to do now.

But whatever, 2-1 and move on to Atlanta.

Siriani was coaching to lose. In all honesty, we should have been up 3 scores going into the fourth even with an average outing from our offense. His decision to pass on 3 points prior to half time was so bad that I'd actually wonder if he was pointshaving. He passed on 3 points from inside the 20, just so he could maybe attempt ONE shot into the endzone before in all likelihood having to take 3 anyway.

Even with all that we had going against us, we clutched up and took a lead with 2 minutes. All we had to do was not let ONE GUY beat us. My concern isn't with the result of this game in a vacuum, it's just that we continue we have to have this same conversation of DA's lack of football awareness late in games over and over again.
Absolutely on Siriani. Many of his decisions were completely reckless and should have cost him this game. Unfortunately, the Saints could not capitalize on that and the blame is on Kubiak. Sure our starting center went down but the continued force feeding AK in the run game devastated any momentum the offense could muster. They blew numerous opportunities to put up some points and again, gain momentum. Instead they 💩 the bed.

AK is the only option to get it on the ground and he had hard yards even on the outside.

On the outside there was atrocious blocking as well.

Multiple times Moreau was doing the wrong thing.

Right? If it wasn’t for the D we would have been down 3 touchdowns early
