Alot of good it did too.Hero's must one day come down, when they offend someone. Time changes cultures.

No. No statues. Tear all of them down. No paintings of anyone either. No streets named after anyone. The monuments remain a contentious issue in our city, but I came up with the perfect solution:
Rename “Lee Circle” as “Brees Circle” and put a lifesized statue of Drew on top.
I’m pretty sure this is an idea the city can get behind.
Being that the Circle is very close to the WWII Museum, and that the museum basically started in large part because of the legacy of New Orleans and our connection to the various D-Days and their landing craft, I would suggest renaming it:
Higgins Circle.
Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander Europe said:
"Andrew Higgins ... is the man who won the war for us. ... If Higgins had not designed and built those LCVPs, we never could have landed over an open beach. The whole strategy of the war would have been different."
Damn sure don’t name it for a politicianNo. No statues. Tear all of them down. No paintings of anyone either. No streets named after anyone.
Since there is no consideration for cultural norms of the past, age of the accused, time elapsed since bad behavior, etc., we should have zero monuments to anyone at all, and all people should be assumed to have committed some unpardonable sin.
