The New Orleans Saints were busy at the Ole Miss pro day, meeting with several players from one of the SEC’s high-flying offenses. Per Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst, Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael and receivers coach Curtis Johnson were on hand to scout prospects.
Quarterback Jordan Ta’amu reportedly crushed his scripted throwing session, accurately hitting each pass and impressing scouts on-site. The Saints were one of four teams to meet with Ta’amu at length afterwards, along with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Minnesota Vikings. He’s a good developmental project who should be picked in the final rounds; with just J.T. Barrett under contract past the 2019 season, the Saints may consider adding another prospect on a rookie contract.
