The New Orleans Saints were one of three teams to send representatives up to Memphis to put running back Darrell Henderson through a workout after his pro day, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The New York Jets and Tennessee Titans also sent personnel to get another look at Henderson.
The 5-foot-8, 208-pounder has been phenomenal for Memphis. He led the country in yards gained after contact per carry (6.16) per Pro Football Focus charting, and had more yards gained after contact total (1,318) than any other running back in the conference. He scored 22 rushing touchdowns last season, and has 44 scoring plays from scrimmage in his three-year career. Henderson capped it all off by timing the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.
