This is the kind of pick that only gets made because our O-line coach thinks that his issues are correctable but has the potential to be a real difference maker. Now whether that's at tackle or guard is another thing entirely...

Tackle with short arms, gets pushed back into the lap of the QB alot. Not a fan of this one, especially with Crosby still on the board.

All I know is we seem to do really well with mid round O linemen, so I'm pretty optimistic. I love the pick! We definitely need quality depth on the line.

I’m with you. I want to root for Griffin in a Saints Jersey next year. Any pick that isn’t him is going to piss me off...just like the previous two picks.

That’s me. I have nothing against the kid, but with so many guys available that I do want, I am perplexed that they felt the need to take this particular player this high. He might not have been drafted at all.

Reach all the way and a drastic one. This guy was going to go undrafted. Nobody will be able to convince me that there weren’t MUCH better options at this point. Take severe projects like him in the 7th..not in the 4th where you should be getting guys that can at least play special teams. This is not a good pick at all.

I would love to have him too, but he seems more like a luxury pick. I think teams are nervous that if you select him, you'll have a hard time cutting him if he's on the bubble.

Big reach that probably would have been available in the 6th round. Had a lot better talent at other positions we should have drafted....

....but I am pretty ignorant to him....just by looking at the “talking heads” analysis of him, seems like a bit of stretch taking him in the 4th, not to mention it seemed odd that the front office took the entirety of its time to issue the pick....


I assume they were looking to trade down (and received no trades they liked)

honestly it appears to be consensus they coulve picked him with the 7th rounder or be one of just a very few teams interested in him as an UDFA

They know more than I do, but this one was a shocker. Suspect they didn't like seeing Brandon Parker going at the top of round #3. I know I didn't like that, thought he'd be available at the Saints pick. I was way wrong.

I like the pick. We have a converted DE who has only played 19 games at T. He has shown consistent improvement and his measurables for the position are excellent.

Huge upside for this guy.
