RIP. Never listened to his music, but definitely a familiar name. Stomach cancer has gotta be one of the worst.

Stomach cancer killed Ronnie James Dio. No one except his wife even knew Dio had cancer until the end. He passed away in May 2010 six months after being diagnosed

Don't remember hearing anything about that. Wow.

I remember reading it at some point but not sure when. My dad died from stomach cancer as did my grandma. Probably how I'm going to go also.

I would agree, not today. The exchange occurred at Willie Nelson’s 70th birthday party concert.

I don’t know if Toby Keith ever moderated the stance that provoked Kristofferson to respond as he did. Like I said, I’m not really a fan but no one should go out wracked with pain from cancer treatment.

My dad did kind of the same thing. I believe he thought for a long time it was an ulcer. When he did go to the doctor they missed the cancer or he never told us about it. Finally went to a hospital where they diagnosed him and he died 12 hours later.

I loved Toby Keith the musician. Many of his songs just spoke to me. Cancer is such a terrible way to go.
