Rizzi should be the permanent Head Coach (1 Viewer)

I dunno anything about the guy; but whoever our next permanent HC is, he needs to earn it. Not just be the next man up that's already in the building like that last guy.
Yes, every rock needs to be turned. I pray Loomis has nothing to do with it. He screwed up royaly last go around. It really seemed like a half arse search. I'm not buying that Flores or Bienemy were the best alternatives and that everyone else turned down the Saints.

This team in 2022 was still heavily talented and fresh off many winning years. It should of been an attractive landing spot.

While I really like Rizzi's personality and fire it may be harder for a ST coach to make a great HC due to never being in control of either side of the ball.
Rizzi has a Campbell type of vibe. I've made my stance on Campbell known. Campbell success is because he hired two very good coordinators, among other things. If Rizzi can have the same insight to hire a great OC and DC and we have some good drafts he can have the same success Campbell has had.
One thing is the rest of the season is going to be more entertaining

I don’t see how TBH. I like him a lot actually. He instantly speaks like a HC way better than DA. But if he does get the HC job that means we won some games this year that we have no business doing so. We should be playing for Cam Ward, not trying to win games. Now obviously the players/coaches are trying to win, but as soon as we went 2-6 and not 3-5, the season was officially over. Winning games the rest of this season does nothing but hurt our future imo.

Lets see how the players react.. the energy he creates, whats the vibes?? This team has been doa for weeks, is a new spark lit? Or more of the asleep at the wheel.

Personally i think it would need to be a huge jump / change in overall vibe of the team… i want all new coaches, a new gm as well to be honest. Time to refresh the energy, start new.

Not suggesting…..just tossing it out there.

He hasn’t been a head coach in the NFL before, but neither had Sean Payton and Dan Campbell.

The best thing you can get in this position is a leader that everyone loves, respects, can’t wait to follow into battle.

Obviously returns are way too early, but Rizzi’s vibe is that everyone seems to love this guy.

A smart head coach hires cutting edge and brilliant OC and DC. And then his job is to create and handle the atmosphere.

Title of thread: Rizzi Should be the Permanent Head Coach

First line of the post: Not suggesting...

Um, if you're using "should," you're making the suggestion.

Last thing we need is another lazy a** in house hire like Loomis did with Allen. Passing over more experienced and qualified candidates to make the easy hire and not have any change or turnover. I love how Rizzy talks and hear that he’s a leader of men. While he should respectfully be considered this organization needs change and the best option available at Coach. Preferably and offensive mind that can fix this mess.

We need a lame duck that the players are willing to fight for a year or two until we can crawl out of the cap hell that Loomis built.

Support this move. He is a up and coming coach.

In the coaching cycle, they will definitely be interviewing Aaron Glenn to satisfy Rooney rule. They should interview Mike Vrabel and Brian Flores. Doug Pederson might also be in the market come January.

My choice would be any one of the above: Rizzi or Vrabel or Flores or Pederson or Glenn.
Vrabel is the best of the bunch imo. Titans never been anything but a doormat after his departure.

No, there is a good chance we lose every game for the rest of the year. We have a good thing going here with the #3 pick and we have a chance to get the #1 overall pick and control the draft.

We could own the 2025 draft 1 1st(2 more in the future) 2 2nds 2 3rds 2 4ths 2 5ths 2 6ths 1 7th.

Let's see how he does, if he can cobble together a winning record with the injuries they're dealing with, I could get behind it.
