Romo chokes again! (2 Viewers)

Howie said at the half that the Giants wouldn't be able to keep pace with Dallas and the long sustained drives. The D for NY really stepped up. Happy for a Manning, and it's not Peyton!

Gotta agree _ don't think I've ever seen a defense step up like they did in the 4th quarter of this game.

Thank goodness I won't have to hear all the Cowboy Fans gloat at work tomorrow. Heck it'll be hard pressed to even find one show his face ... :hihi:

A guy on another forum (totally unrelated to sports) that I belong to was at the game and said that during the tailgating there was a plane flying a banner overhead that said, "Good Luck Tony. <3 Jessica" :smilielol:

Question is, was it really from Jessica (doubtful) or from a sneaky Giants fan? ;)

Yeah, I probably would have skipped watching the Superbowl for the first time if it would have been the Patriots vs. Cowboys. I am kind of hoping for a Chargers vs. Packers Superbowl.

i'm hoping for a packers vs patriots super bowl with the packers beating the cheatriots

= ultimate season

+

saints draft kenny philips in 1st
we sign trufant in FA
we trade our 4th for jonathan vilma

= ultimate offseason

The second half I'm in touch with, but ultimate season can ONLY = Saints Super Bowl Champions.
If the Saints do make moves as good as the ones you suggest (not necessarily those, but whatever the right ones are that will fill the holes on defense), it truly just might finally happen next year.

Romo didn't choke. He ran for his life and improvised quite abit. I never really believed him to be a good QB but now I do. The pick at the end was desperation. I can see where he is easy to not like so I see where you guys are coming from.

Except of course, for taking two 4th quarter drive-crushing sacks despite being out of the tackle box where he could throw it away, throwing it away and getting an intentional grounding call, and being unable to hit an open owens in the endzone on 3rd down with 20 seconds left and the ballgame on the line.

His decisionmaking and playmaking ability was poor in crunch time = choke.

So did P.Manning choke again this year?

Choke? I don't know, but he didn't play well after the 1st quater of that game (where he was just tearing it up). He overthrew 2 sure TD's in the second half. He doesn't seem quit as automatic as he has been the past few years. Losing Harrison has obviously hurt his game.

I really dont hate Romo like most do hear. I do hate the Cowboys, but Romo seems like a good guy and a great competitor. That being sad I am glad he lost.

Glad they lost, but can't hang that on Romo's head. Too many dropped passes and poor protection. Guy was running for his life. The Giants outplayed them. Plain and simple.

i love it when the seahaks lost and the cowboys and the colts( who best us in week 1)
it feels great :plus-un2:

but I wonder if the G-men paid Jessika to mess with tony ... it would be a great story

Yeah I guess if your own team can't get it done then the watching other teams fail makes it better that our team sucked it big this year.

hell and the ark la tex

Same here, it's the fans that drive me nuts more than anything else.
I can pretty much figure what the fan comments will be in the Shreveport Times today... and all over NW La.

Its crazy, Thor, but it took about 10 years moving out of the "Ark-La-Tex" for me to be able to stomach anything to do with the Cowboys. From having LOUISIANA tv show them over the Saints, to the worshipful coverage on local sportscasts, and worst of all the obnoxious comments from their fans, I grew a seething hate--- and I avoid hating, but man... Living near NW La. will make you hate the Cowboys, if you're a reasonable person.

Here in Houston, the local sports talk guys treat the Cowboys like they're somebody elses team, and you really dont hear that much talk about them.

I've had years away from all that crap talk, and you're not gonna believe this but:

Some good people actually like the Cowboys. There are little handicapped poor children who are happy when they win. There are good people in Dallas who are nice to puppies and old people. Tony Romo is friendly (well yeah, you'd be "friendly" too if you got to ba....(self-edit) ) Romo does great charity work, and has a warm, likeable smile. Even T.O. is sensitive and vulnerable.

But you will never know these things if you live in NWLA, where all you hear is Cowboy fans saying BLAH BLAH CRAP BLAH CRAP!

Moral of the story: If your team wins try to be humble and avoid the crap talk, so that when you lose, you dont get the pile of bricks NWLA Cowboys fans will get today--- which they so richly deserve.

Thorin--- raise some hell today up there man! btw, you need to show up for training camp.
