Romo chokes again! (1 Viewer)

I just noticed on ESPN that the Cowdung are the first #1 seed to go one and done since the NFL went to a 12 team playoff grid.

That is AWESOMELY GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Are sure that didn't say NFC, because the #1 seed Chargers were a one-and-out last year.

In the NFC.

I know its wrong for me to be so happy over another teams loss. I should be bigger than that but i aint LOL man i loved that game .As far as romo he did play well enough to win had a lot of dropped passes at important times yesterday.

Except of course, for taking two 4th quarter drive-crushing sacks despite being out of the tackle box where he could throw it away, throwing it away and getting an intentional grounding call, and being unable to hit an open owens in the endzone on 3rd down with 20 seconds left and the ballgame on the line.

His decisionmaking and playmaking ability was poor in crunch time = choke.

I'll give you the one play when he was dragged down outside of the tackle box. Yes he should have thrown that one away. He will learn to do that. The other one though - I am still not so sure on that one. He was inside the tackle box and threw it out of bounds (downfield out of bounds) but didn't appear to be about to get sacked.

Overall though he made plays and kept drives going. Improvised quite abit. I was never sold on the guy but now I see he is the real deal. For being so young the guy does pretty dang good. I wouldn't hang the choke lable or this loss on him.

Yeah I guess if your own team can't get it done then the watching other teams fail makes it better that our team sucked it big this year.

Well, I can tell you that the Cowboys losing did nothing to make me feel better about the Saints' season but it made me feel much better about the Cowboys' season. ;)

Romo didn't choke. He ran for his life and improvised quite abit. I never really believed him to be a good QB but now I do. The pick at the end was desperation. I can see where he is easy to not like so I see where you guys are coming from.

Was he running for his life? yes. However, he made some bonehead plays (intentional grounding, taking a big sack, etc.) that put his team in some bad situations in the 4th Q. Top flight QBs don't make critical errors with the game on the line. Romo is not in the class of Drew Brees yet, so get over it media.

I never said Romo was in the same class as Drew. Where did THAT come from?

Discussing things in here is getting harder and harder.

I also pointed out in a later post a few up that yes taking the sack outside of the tacklebox was a very bad decision. The other one I am not so sure about - he was inside the box and threw it downfield out of bounds or so it seemed. That one was less clear to me.

Overall though I think he will be a good one. He is still young but the kid is a playmaker. I never thought that before...now I do.

Yeah, it's like a funeral around here today. I love it.

One guy asked me if this is what it's like being a Saints fan. I told him no, it's been so long since we were one and done in the playoffs I don't remember what it's like.

LMAO...classic.

no we never get over hyped every year and get sent home packing in the playoffs as the #1 seed. tell your friend at least rex grossman could have played better.

saints just have bad seasons. lately we win playoff games.

Romo lost it in the 4th IMO. He was good until he got ticked at the non calls against the receivers. Lost his focus and let the refs get to him. That's when the bad sacks and intentional grounding happened.

I don't place it all on him cause it is a team sport, but he mentally lost it in the 4th and that didn't help.

Dallas lost as a team, but anyone who's been watching football during the 2007 season should have known what was coming in the playoffs. I never saw what the media and fans saw in Dallas - they actually reminded me of the 2006 Bears except they were better at the QB position.
