Saints @ 49ers last year (2 Viewers)

32 points, 471 Yards, and 26 first downs. Yes, its safe.

I'm not sure its fair to blame this one on GW. We turned it over 5 times.

Oh, it's more than fair to blame this one on GW.

Name me another solid DC who blew not one but 2 fourth quarter leads with less than 5 minutes to play.

It's beyond unacceptable.

Turnovers don't matter, when you're up with a minute and change left.. And your defense allows a mediocre offense to move the ball the length of the field/score. Period.. end of story. Move on, and hope that Spags can improve things.

This.

I know in my heart that if we came out of that with a win, we were going to the Superbowl and winning it. We absolutely were the best team in football last year, and nobody wanted a piece of us. The Giants got excited when they learned we lost and took it to the bank. If Spags takes care of business, we'll be right there again this year.

The rules in the nfl favor offenses. When a team needs to move the ball thru the air, they can. Why do you think we are seeing these offensive explosions?

The rules don't allow our corners to press or touch receivers. They don't allow u to hit a ball carrier. They don't allow u to pressure QBs.

No defense in the nfl can stop a well executed 2 minute drill because the rules won't allow it

Something you can change and prevent...turnovers

At least 3 scores coming off turnovers could've been prevented

The play calling was bad because we lost PT. That killed us. We became predictable because when Ivory was in, it was a run every time. I was hoping we would do a play action to Ivory at some point, but never did. If ivory was in the game, it was a run to Ivory every single time. No play action. No pass, period. _

Zooooo....the best offense in football got outscored by a mediocre offense...is that a normal thing? Their D did enough to put their crappy offense in the position to win the game....and they did it. The blame should go to the incapability of the D, to make one lousy stop at the end of the game.

Did we not also drive down the field to go up by a score?

The problem was that we scored to quickly and they didn't leave enough time on the clock

All ur doing is blaming an entire game on a 4 minute defensive span

This is what's wrong with fans and the media. You put so much emphasis on such a small portion of the game and ignore such a huge part that actually had a greater impact on the outcome.

There's no hope for ppl that think like that

You can blame an entire game on a 4 minute defensive span, because I'm sorry, but I don't care what happened all game long, If you are up by 3 with 1:04 on the clock, then a NFL standard defense should be able to stop one of the worst offenses in the league scoring. The niners did not have a good offense, and they walked down the field on us.

The offense turned the ball over, but they righted all wrongs and put us in a position to win, at the end: They put the defense in a position to seal the deal, and an offense should be allowed to do that. I don't want to watch football where the offense can't amend for a turnover, have the defense give up 5 big plays, and then the offense be blamed.

5 turnovers doesn't matter: When we were in a position to win the game. The San Francisco lost rests almost entirely on the defense. You've got to be able to rely on the other units within a team to sometimes seal it, because you won't always be able to run down the clock and kneel it out.

That's the most ridiculous sentence anyone in the history of words could've put together

If we were blown out 46 - 10. They matter. Did our offense put us in a position to win the game? Yes or no?

Did the offense blow the game? Yes or no?

At which point did an offensive mistake, directly, without giving a chance to our defense to stop it, directly lead to points for the San Francisco 49ers? Identify the play please.

Don't take things out of context.

You're absolutely correct. Don't worry about the other side of that argument. It won't give up.

If not for the turnovers we could've been up 46 to 10

They were beating us the entire game because of turnovers. Our offense brought us back but they weren't able to dig us out of the hole they already dug

You're right, being up 32-29 with 40 seconds left and the 49ers nowhere near field goal position was inadequate on the offenses part.

No. They dug us out of our hole. Theres 53 players on the team, and I'm not going to get on the back of the 11 that did incredibly well, when there were 11 that gave up not one, but TWO game winning drives in the space of 5 minutes.
