Saints are sitting at Pick 10 currently with the Loss-Jayden Daniels Territory (3 Viewers)

The Saints need Jayden Daniels. That’s the main reason why we won’t get him. We rarely get the guy who will make the most difference for our team. A player like Daniels would instantly make the entire offense better and would put us back on the road to greatness the quickest way. Jayden would also put the most butts in the seats in the Superdome next year. The future has to start as soon as this miserable season ends. Carr is NOT the future.

Would love JD, but not if it involves trading next years first plus more picks, too many old players, too many holes to fill
I’d be willing gamble that there are players in the 4th - 6th rounds who could play as well as many on our aging squad. It’s time to start trimming the fat. We just aren’t very good with all these older ‘experienced’ players.

After my post wondering where Verse was ranked, most "experts" had him going from 15-28. In fact, in almost every recent mock draft, they had him as the 3rd or 4th DE. UCLA guy, Latu, was 1st in every one, Washington guy, Trice, was usually #2 and Dallas Turner from Bama was sometimes #3. That's crazy to think a playoff team could have him fall into their lap. In fact one slightly older mock had us taking the DE from Ohio state at 15 overall, ahead of Verse.
Irony, Saints draft Jayden and trade up for Dallas Turner. How do you say. awkward. But I’d be totally stoked. We need an influx of naturally aggressive players on D.

I agree with the sentiment, but ML has hogtied us in the trimming the fat dept.

They are going to have to restructure Carr to get under the cap. I won't look at that as doubling down, but the meltdown that will come when it happens is going to be a sight to see.
Kinda like last season when posters were guaranteeing JW and MT we’re gone…

I’m to the point that I would trade our Denver pick and first round pick to move up for JD or Washington’s QB.
If "we" really want JD....Then do what this man did .....

mike dika.jpgTrade everything we got for the first pick in the draft and only ask for their 2nd round pick. Then pick a wide receiver and then keep all the others on the team for one year. That will give JD all the weapons he needs.....OR...settle for 2 more years of Carr and company. That way we should have enough money to pay for JD and the wide reciver. Just my 2 cents.
