Who Dat in the Bay Area
I'm a Who Dat living here in the Bay Area. I've never been to Monster Park but I'll be there on Sunday! Everyone here seems like they're looking for ideas on tailgating but the stadium isn't very tailgating-friendly. You need a parking pass in order to park in the lot near the stadium, which most of you will not have. It looks like HangtownBaghead is going to be in the RV lot. That sounds like as good a spot to tailgate as any other.
If anyone is still scrambling for hotels, my advice would be to stay in town, near the Wharf and enjoy the city -- Chinatown, Coit Tower, North Beach (their Little Italy), the Wharf area - you'll run out of time before you run out of places to walk. It really is a beautiful city and not nearly as radical as you might think. If you have a car, I would recommend driving over to the Cliff House for a drink - www.cliffhouse.com. The view is phenomenal; you'll thank me. And drive across the Golden Gate, park at the rest stop and take in the views.
If you get into town and still don't have tickets or you want to purchase a parking pass you should check out www.craigslist.org. Last I checked, there were tons of tickets available at very reasonable prices. Everyone -- everyone -- in the Bay Area uses Craigslist to buy and sell things.
