The media has pulled back from mentinoing the Saints and seem locked in on the Jets and Steelers.

* Devonte went to the Raiders specifically to play with his college guy Carr. We have Carr.
* His most trusted coach, Keith Williams, was his WR coach at Fresno State and is current on the Saints' staff. I have heard NO (ZERO!) national media talk about this. They have no Fork**** idea.

Market size has nothing to do with it.

Just not true, we are a collision of 3 DBs and a DPI away from being 4-0 halfway through the toughest part of our schedule. The OL did not play that badly with 2 starters out. If we had Adams I would bet $ we win this last game. There is no runaway favorite in the NFC we have almost as good a chance to win it as anyone, We get Adams, and our chances just went up by 40%

That Atlanta game was especially an anomaly, a mirage of sorts.

We actually played a fine game on both offense and defense, to say we were banged up and on the road.

The muffed punt, and the freakish pick six were the anomalies that made the game look worse than it was.

Our defense is still great and is holding everyone in check. Our offense has its issues but just need that little “something extra” for when teams have us figured out from a strategy standpoint.

Adams is one of those guys that even when teams have what you’re doing figured out, you still have a guy that can dominate physically and you can just throw it up to or near and allow him to make a play.

Meant to say this yesterday. I don’t necessarily think things are all warm and fuzzy there, but I could be wrong.

It’s also possible though that even if they did have a falling out, the two may have had a heart to heart since then and are ready to rekindle and give it another go.

I think the Raiders are eager both from a personal standpoint (seems like Adams and Pierce are done with each other), and from a financial/cash preservation perspective.

They don’t want to be dishing out essentially $1 million a week in game checks to a guy that won’t be playing for them again. They want to and need to save money where they can, and that’s a big chunk despite the overall pie being much larger.

Rapoport basically repeated Schefter’s yesterday report lol. But Rapoport is angling as Adams wants to play for the New York Jets, even though he says Adams hasn’t demanded to play anywhere and he’s open to playing for other teams which includes the Saints.

He started it off like it’s a new development but it’s just a New York storyline.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is also the agent putting this info out to get the Saints or other teams to agree to the framework of a new deal with Adams so he can have guaranteed money next year.

Obviously either team makes sense. But it’s not really Adams’ decision it’s the Raiders. Adams has a little leverage, he does. But the Raiders aren’t trading to an AFC team. If you’re Adams, my decision would come down to which QB has more longevity, Rogers or Carr. Also, which fan base would you want to play for? Rabid miserable jets fan or the Southern welcoming Saints fans. Also, in NOLA you’ll play in the dome 1/2 the time and once in Atl. Nola imo is beyond a slam dunk. This is more about will Loomis bend if needed.
