Group tickets are in. I'll be contacting everyone individually about their tickets.
I've been the one organizing things the past few years. I plan to start getting things together soon. I'll keep you posted. As for the team hotel, I can't guarantee anything, but it has been the Marriott for the past 4 years, so I would guess they will be there again this year.Hello fellow saints fans...Last year was our first year in Charlotte and although we have been saints fans for years it was our first tailgating experience and it was awesome!!!!!!! although it was an accident that we even found it, we were impressed!!! so we are planning to attend this years saints vs panthers game and would love to hang with everyone again..but we would love to contribute to the tailgating party and are wondering how we can do so..if anyone would have some info to help us out it would be very appreciated and heres to a great season---who dat-no26js
oh ya, i know the players hotel was the Marriot last year does anyone know if it is still the same??thanks for all the help
I just sent you a PM. I have 2 tickets for you.no26js there will be four of us attending tailgating but still looking for tickets..
We are debating on coming up Saturday and spend the night or driving up early Sunday morning. If we stay the night we will want to be as close as possible to the stadium. Maybe the below questions will help us make the decision.
1) Does Charlotte have a section similar to the French Quarter/Bourbon Street of New Orleans around the stadium? It does not have to have the strip clubs. We do not want to drive up there and spend the night sitting in the hotel room, but do not want to worry about getting a DWI either. So we are looking for something to do withing walking distance of the hotels.
2) How early do ya'll normally get together to tailgate?
3) Do ya'll normally have a get-together the night before?
4) I figured it would take about 3 1/2 hours to drive up from Mt. Pleasant, SC. Is this correct and are there any traffic issues I should consider? I am mainly concerned with how early we need to get there for a parking/tailgating spot.
Thanks,
Raymond
I will try to answer some of the questions. We usually don't stay over night. Fayetteville is 2-1/2 - 3 hours away & a horrible drive, but there is little traffic early Sunday morning.
The Residence Inn JRead mentioned is right across the street from the stadium. There are many other hotels downtown that are very close by (well within walking distance). There are many restaurants/bars downtown. I know of no strip clubs down there...lol.
We are usually in Charlotte by 10:00 or so & tailgating has already started.
If you decide to drive up on Sunday, there are many lots available for parking. They get more expensive the closer you get to the stadium. I believe we usually pay about $15.
Hope to see you there!

Hey everyone, I got some bad news. I will not be able to make the trip to Carolina this year with my bus. I recently got laid off from my job and although I found a new and better job already, I don't have any vacation time to use. I'am really sorry because I had been approved for the vacation at my old job and had told everyone I would be there, but now I can't. It stinks really since I now have to work sundays also and might even miss the home games this year. I hope by next year I will be able to make it.
