The New Orleans Saints, sparked by a huge special teams turnover from quarterback Taysom Hill, overcame a 14-3 deficit to run over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their own building, ultimately winning 28-14. The Saints avenged a Week 1 loss, secured an appearance in this year’s playoffs tournament, and won the NFC South title again – the first time in franchise history that they’ve won their division in back-to-back years.

Almost everything broke the Saints’ way in the second half. The ground game reemerged with violence, focused around strong running by Mark Ingram. The defense was even stronger, not allowing another Buccaneers score after halftime and collecting 4 sacks. A last-ditch effort by the Buccaneers offense came up short when Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore won on a 50/50 ball, coming down with an interception. ...
