Saints defense ranked 7th - SI.com (1 Viewer)

Does anyone miss the aerial attack the last two weeks? Don't get me wrong I'm ecstatic over the play of our D and the running game but I do miss the high scoring passing game. I guess I just want it all during the same game.

I do miss seeing a few more big plays, which the passing attack gives us.

But I do not miss losing and there is no doubt we are 4 - 0 in large measure because of our rushing attack.

Just gimme wins Saints!

You know, I think everybody needs to take a step back and look at the Jets game a little harder. We could have scored another TD at the end of the game if we wanted, making the score 31-10, also, earlier in the game we could have gone for a FG making it 34-10, so in reality the score was totally misleading. But let them eat their own cheese if they want to.

If we go for a FG, we dont have the fumble recovery in the ez for a TD.

I Love smash mouth football. Watching the our boys run the ball down people's throats gives me the same thrill as airing it out, maybe more! :) Also love the defensive intensity!!! Kick *** and take names!!!

Who Dat Baby!!!!

Where would we be if it were points allowed minus points scored on defense?

We would be #2 with 13 ppg allowed by the defense. SF would be third with 13.2.

66 total pts allowed, minus 14 (Trick play in the Buffalo game by their special teams, plus the fumble return for a TD) = 52 pts allowed by the Saints D divided by 4 = 13 ppg.

But to make that number 2 ranking relevant, you'd have to apply the same criteria for all teams. :idunno:
