What are they seeing/bracing for that they still feel like they need to be in the CB market? It’s gotta be deeper than missing Lattimore for a few games. They’re throwing everything they’ve got at CB. Sure I’m Not confident in the position outside of ML but I’ve never seen them be this desperate.

Same thing they were seeing before we traded for Eli and Janoris, our #2 CB depth is bad and Payton is always looking for ways to remedy a critical position.

Our DC is a secondary guy and secondary coach help build the GOAT secondary.

So, it's probably coming from them, but they and Payton probably feel that for us to stay above water till the offense gets up and running is with an elite defense/secondary.

They seemed more focus to improving the team through defense. It honestly makes a lot of sense.

Could be just making sure we have a great pass defense in case the offense may not consistently put up points. Or two great corners can make up for the D-Line not having consistent pass rush while Onyemata is out.

The Saints are without MT, and the #2 from last year, and TQS is injured. Now the top 2 receivers are a UDFA from last year and a guy that was playing lacrosse a couple weeks ago, a QB that nobody wanted in Jameis, and a joker competing for QB...and the offense is looking pretty good. Maybe the offense is less about how good the offense really is and more about who it's going against outside of Lattimore.

I understand that the #2 position isn’t solidified but they’ve already brought in 4+ corners. Poole, Amukamara, Russell, Adebo, Alexander. I’ve just never seen the team be like this before. Its unfamiliar.
